Author's pov...

Minho made his way to the warehouse. The tension from the previous night's confrontation with The Choi's still hung in the air. His men were on edge, preparing for the next move. Minho gathered his lieutenants, Chan and Changbin, to discuss their strategy.

"We need to hit The Choi's hard and fast," Minho said, his tone decisive. "If we don't, they'll overrun us."

Chan nodded. "We've secured more weapons and reinforced our defenses. We should be ready."

Changbin, always the strategist, added, "We need to ensure our communications are secure. The last thing we need is The Choi's intercepting our plans."

As they delved into their strategy, Minho's phone buzzed. It was a message from Jisung: "Heading to the library now. Love you."

Minho smiled briefly before his expression hardened again. "Alright, let's get this done."

Hours later, Minho returned home, exhausted but relieved that preparations were in place. He found Jisung sitting at their kitchen table, surrounded by stacks of books. His husband looked up, smiling warmly. "Hey, how was your day?"

"Busy," Minho replied, leaning down to kiss him. "How about you? Found any good books?"

Jisung nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, I picked up a few interesting ones. But I missed you. You seem so stressed lately."

Minho sighed, sitting across from him. "It's just work. A lot of pressure."

Jisung reached out, taking Minho's hand. "You know you can talk to me, right? I'm here for you."

Minho squeezed his hand, guilt gnawing at him. "I know. I appreciate it."

As they settled into a quiet evening, Minho's phone buzzed again. This time, it was a call from Chan. He glanced at Jisung, who was engrossed in his book, and stepped into the hallway to answer.

"Chan, what's up?"

"Minho, we've got a problem," Chan's voice was urgent. "The Choi's are planning to hit our supply line tonight. We need to act fast."

Minho cursed under his breath. "Alright, I'll be there soon. Make sure everyone's ready."

As he hung up, he turned to find Jisung standing in the hallway, his eyes wide with worry. "Minho, what's going on? You've been acting strange, and now you're getting calls late at night. Is everything okay?"

Minho forced a smile. "It's just work, Jisung. Nothing to worry about."

Jisung's gaze hardened slightly, suspicion flickering in his eyes. "What kind of work makes you this tense? You're always on edge, always secretive. Please, just tell me the truth."

Minho hesitated, knowing this moment had been inevitable. "Jisung, there are things I haven't told you because I wanted to protect you. My work... it's dangerous."

Jisung's face paled. "Dangerous how? What are you involved in, Minho?"

Just then, Minho's phone buzzed again with another urgent message from Chan, confirming their worst fears about The Choi's movements. Jisung glanced at the phone screen and saw the name and the urgency of the message.

"Who are The Choi's, Minho?" Jisung asked, his voice trembling. "What kind of work are you really doing?"

Minho took a deep breath, looking into Jisung's eyes. "Jisung, Its nothing."

Jisung staggered back, shock and hurt etched on his face. "You don't have to lie minho just tell me if something is wrong"

Minho reached out, his heart breaking. "Its okay jisung, don't worry"

Jisung shook his head, "Are you in.... Mafia stuff. I should have believed when felix told me that"he said.

Minho stepped closer, desperation in his voice. "Just give me a chance to explain."

Jisung just turned and walked away, the weight of his secret now fully exposed.
