Hazel woke up in Dallas's arms and looked over at the clock that was hung up on Dallas's wall. It was midnight. Hazel got up from the bed and got dressed. She then heard a bunch of people downstairs partying, meaning that Buck was throwing another party.
"Where are you going?" Dallas asked with a raspy voice, "I need to go home," Hazel said as she finished getting dressed, "I thought you weren't allowed home," "Yeah, but-" "You need to relax about that, okay?" Dallas said as he sat up, "I know, but I don't want to not have a relationship with my grandmother," Hazel said as she walked over to the bed.
"Just give it a night, I'm sure tomorrow that you'll be fine," Dallas said as he rested back, "But-" "Just come back to bed, it's midnight and you're not going anywhere since it's super dark out," Dallas said. Hazel rolled her eyes and crawled back into bed next to Dallas.
"I think that you're just overthinking about this baby," Dallas said as he moved hair out of Hazel's face, "I still love my grandma, she just doesn't let me do things," Hazel said with glossy eyes, "Hey, look what happened to me, my parents don't give a shit about me and I turned out bad, you should be happy that you have people who care about you."
"I know I should, it just sucks, I practically have no freedom," Hazel said as she leaned her head on Dallas's chest, "I think that's for the better, I have all the freedom since no one's watching me, and I always end up in jail," "Yeah, because you always do bad shit," "Yeah, I know," Dallas said as he ran his fingers through Hazel's hair.
"Hey, tomorrow can you come with me? To my house?" "Why?" "So I can apologize to my grandma," "You don't have anything to apologize for," "I lied to her face, I have to apologize for that. I think if I just apologized, then this whole thing will blow over," "Doesn't your grandma hate me?" "I'll explain our relationship, don't worry," Hazel said as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Dallas and Hazel were walking together to Hazel's house. Hazel was wearing one of Dallas's leather jackets since she couldn't wear hers due to her cast being too big. As soon as they made it to the house, Hazel was a bit hesitant, "What's wrong?" Dallas asked.
"I just... I don't know," Hazel said with a nervous tone, "Don't back down now, you wanted to do this last night," Dallas said, "I know I did! I just..." "I'm gonna be right here, you need to relax," "Yeah, you're right, stay right here," Hazel said as she walked to the door of the house.
She knocked on the door with a nervous breath. The door opened and it was Ron, "Hey Pops-" "You can't be here right now, or with him," Ron whispered as he saw Dallas, "I need to talk to granny, please," Hazel said, "She said she wants nothing to do with you anymore," Ron said as he stepped out of the house.
"But I'm still under her watch, that's the law," Hazel said, "Listen, I tried to convince her, I really did, but she said the next time you come here is that she's gonna phone the cops on you, so I'd probably get going before she sees you Hazy," "And you're in on this? You're just gonna let her do that?"
"Hazy, you have to-" "No! I'm not gonna understand! I came here to apologize and if Donna can't grow a pair, then tell her that she can go to hell," Hazel said as she walked away from Ron, "I do still love you Hazy," "Yeah, I'm sure you!" Hazel said in a sarcastic tone, "Don't you start-" "If you loved me then you would be on my side!" Hazel said as she walked away with Dallas.
She held Dallas's hand as they walked away. Ron walked back in the house, Donna was not impressed, "Was it that greaser again?" Donna said, "Donna, stop-" "She thinks she can just come back after what she did to me-" "Enough!" Ron screamed in Donna's face, "What?" Donna said confused.
"You have to stop! Hazy wanted to come and apologize to you, but she couldn't even do that because you're acting like a child!" Ron said, "But-" "You deserved to get hit! It should've knocked some sense into you, but it clearly didn't," Ron said, "So you're on her side?"
"Yes, because she's my grandchild, and I'll pick her over you anytime of the day," "So what are you saying?" "I think we need to get a divorce," "You can't be serious," Donna said laughing, "I've actually been thinking about it for a bit, and I got the paperwork yesterday," Ron said.
"No! You can't divorce me! Where will I go?!" Donna said in tears, "You better find that out by yourself. I'm gonna get the paperwork and you better sign it," "I ain't signing shit Ron!" "Oh yes you are! And if you don't then I will call the cops and make sure you get off of my property since I pay all of the bills here!"
"Please don't do this to me! I'll change!" "No, it's too late for that Donna. Now, I'm gonna get the paperwork, and you are going to sign it. Then you are going to find a place to stay and Hazel will come back here so she doesn't need to worry about a place to sleep," Ron said as he walked into the bedroom.
