To Taehyung's uttermost surprise or detest the clothes scattered on the marble floor of his brother's apartment were telling him a different story. He wanted nothing more than to fly away and pretend he had never entered Yoongi's place in the worst moment possible.  But something amidst the clothes lying on the floor caught his attention.

A very familiar wallet. His heart thundered in his ears when he picked it over and momentarily froze when he read the initial "KJN". Something was very, very wrong. he couldn't wrap his mind around how the customised wallet with Jennie's initial, he gave to her once was there, except-

Despite himself, he peeked over the room where he was sure the not-so-pure act was going on. And through that slightly opened door,  he saw the woman once he believed was stuck with him for life, was going to share all the highs and lows staying by his side, threw her head back while screaming another man's name.

He had gone temporarily numb. He couldn't move for a while and he certainly had no idea how he had left Yoongi's place. The only thing he knew when he was back in his senses, he had done something merely a day ago that he didn't even allow to cross his mind.

Though it was only a few times Taehyung conversed with Jisoo, he had come to a realisation that the girl had the most control over her emotions and her tone always remained neutral despite what she was feeling. Desperate she was for something, she made the process reversed and made the one she wanted the help from feel otherwise. He was painfully reminded of the fact, that he and she had a lot in common than he would like to admit.

But the moment he heard her voice, he was caught off guard to feel the vulnerability from her out of all the people. But again he recalled how she had to come with them for a holiday she clearly didn't want to have. There must be a reason behind why she was so willing to help him after all.

                           ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taehyung uncomfortably squirmed in his seat as he stole a glance at the girl sitting across from him. To say she was dishevelled was an understatement of the century. It was quite surprising that she was the same girl from a fortnight ago, formidable and intimidating. He tried his best to ignore the dirty looks people throwing at him like they were certain he was the cause of her agony.
"There was an attempt on mom's life. Again"
Taehyung flinched. Again. Whatever she could mean by that?
"It's Won Yeo. He had told me that much. And if you're wondering why he's like that though you shouldn't be at all, he wants me to be at her position. So he would be able to do whatever he wants "
He always disliked the man not only because he had a significant reason to do so but generally as a human. But this however was still shocking though he ought not to expect anything other than that.
"I know you believe he has something to do with your mother's death. I know you hate him. Please I will do whatever is in my power to help you. Please just help me save my mom"
Taehyung didn't interrupt her to ask how she knew such private information about him nor he did contradict her to remind her how powerless she was a fortnight ago in front of that man. He just stared at her.
Weren't they a pair? Both are equally broken and utterly lost. He got a flashback of Jennie's venomous and contented smile when she got her revenge on Jisoo. Wasn't that sweet? Was revenge that much satisfying? He was one step away from having the queen by his side. Would they be able to defeat him when he had such an enormous power? Now wasn't that sweeter than anything?
I want to remind you again that this is just a work of fiction. Please don't hate our precious Nini and Yoongi because of their characters in the book.
