"Do we know each other?"

These words hit her like a fist in the face. All her feelings came up at once.

She had expected everything. Anger, reproach, sadness, forgiveness, maybe even joy. But not with being forgotten.

Siobhan took to her heels, she had to get away.

"Wait!" Vivian called after her. But she had already disappeared.

Siobhan pulled open the door to the staff toilet and locked herself in one of the cubicles.

She couldn't breathe, she felt hot and cold. Her heart was beating against her chest like thunder.

Siobhan slid on to the floor.

Fate must hate her. She couldn't explain it any other way. Or all those years where she had behaved horribly towards others were now coming back to her in the form of karma.

She was free of Roger, the man who put her through hell, but in return she lost Vivian.

" Siobhan?" A voice rang out from outside the cabin. "Open the door."

She didn't want to, she didn't want to see anyone now. But she needed someone.

She got to her feet and opened the cubicle door.

She looked into Marjorie's eyes. Who looked at her worriedly.

"She's forgotten me..." the blonde blurted out before falling into the manager's arms.

"Oh, my love," whispered Marjorie.

Vivian read the text messages between her and 'Siobhan'.

She knew the name, she was the man's wife. The one she wanted to protect. But Vivian had no face to her, no memory. Nothing.

It seemed that the last six months before the attack were gone.

She read the last message she had sent to the woman.

'Leave him already. You deserve someone better.'

Well she seemed to have really worried about her.

It frustrated Vivian, that she couldn't remember anything.

The doorbell rang.

"Oh Dalia, I wasn't expecting you so late."

She laughed lightly. "I wanted to drop by after my late shift and hear how your first day in the normal world was."

The two of them sat down in the living room and Vivian talked about her day.

" So everything was normal..... well, except for one little thing..."

Dalia looked at her questioningly.

"I met someone today who seemed to know me. She even used my nickname. But I have no idea who that was."

"What did she look like?"

" Blonde bob, grey eyes, shorter than me."

Dalia rolled her eyes. "Siobhan." she hissed.

Oh, so that was Siobhan. Now she had a face to go with the chat messages.

"What did she want from you?" Dalia asked, annoyed.

" I wish I knew. After I didn't know who she was. She just took off."

" Good. Believe me, it's better this way. What has she given you so far? Apart from a near-death experience and head trauma."

Vivian crossed her arms. " That's not fair, Dalia. I think she feels bad about the whole thing. And I don't blame her."

Dalia gave her a 'I don't care' look.
" Don't play the hero again."

But the black-haired had made up her mind. "I'm going to make a trip to the Nursery tomorrow. And try to talk to her, I want to give her a chance."

Dalia threw her head back. "Do what you can't help doing. But be careful this time!"

" Hey Charlotte. I know Jamie is not actually in today, but can you look after him for a minute. I really need to talk to someone."

The brunette looked up. " Yeah, sure, there's not much going on today. Leave him here."

Vivian knocked cautiously on the office door. When she entered, Marjorie and Siobhan were sitting there.

She immediately noticed the blonde's tens look.

"Hey my love, what are you doing here today?" Marjorie asked.

"Well, I wanted to talk to Siobhan."

The blonde just stared at her computer screen.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. But I lost a bit  of my memories," Vivian said carefully.

Siobhan didn't answer.

" Do you want to meet for a coffee sometime? You know to catch up."

Marjorie looked eagerly at Siobhan. But she seemed to be in a state of shock.

"She'd be delighted," the manager called out quickly.

Vivian gave Marjorie a questioning look.
" Ok, good. I'll just text you when I'm free, ok?"

" Ok..." whispered the blonde.

Vivian smiled briefly at Siobhan before leaving the office again.

" Siobhan take the chance. It will give you peace." said Marjorie.
