The next few days were a blur. Siobhan was just waiting for Walker to strike. She waited for the next stone in the path of her life.

But it was quiet. Too quiet. Suspiciously quiet.

Vivian tried desperately to make contact, but Siobhan ignored her.

If she couldn't have her completely, the blonde didn't want her. What's more, she was afraid of falling completely for the nurse, only to lose her in the end.

The silence, which made Siobhan panic even more, ended with a text message from Marjorie.

'Please come to the Nursery immediately. Conference room.'

So she set off for her workplace on a Sunday.

When Siobhan entered the conference room, she was already expected.

Marjorie, Reece, Autumn and Mia were there.

All spread around the room.

Autumn was standing by the window looking out, not paying much attention to Siobhan. She seemed to be deep in thought.

Mia, on the other hand, had sat down on one of the chairs at the table. Her feet on the table, the redhead's entire posture was relaxed. But her eyes spoke a different language. There was a hint of fear in them.

Reece was on his feet, leaning against the table. Completely lost in thought, he kept stirring his coffee.

Marjorie sat opposite Mia. She supported her head with her hand. When she saw Siobhan, she smiled slightly.

Siobhan was already emotionally bracing herself for what was to come.

"What has Walker done?"

"The bastard has targeted us all," Mia hissed.

" Our testimonies are being challenged..." Autumn spoke, still staring out the window.

Reece nodded. "He's getting all our skeletons out of the closet from the last few years."

"What do you mean?" asked Siobhan, although she didn't want to know the answer.

" Walker is using my 11 restraining orders against me to make me untrustworthy. He wants to spin the story so that my father wasn't the perpetrator of my childhood. So that I will be seen as aggressive and that my father had to defend himself," Autumn said.

"He dug up the Kenny Killerman thing.... If I'm unlucky. I'll be fined for assault," whispered Reece.

"But you only pushed Killerman down the stairs because he wanted to go out with a fifteen-year-old girl!" Siobhan shouted.

" Try to prove that. Autumn's diary no longer exists..." whispered Reece.

Marjorie also spoke up. "My mum contacted me out of the blue... He must have slipped her my number..... I never wanted to have anything to do with that woman again..."

Now Mia spoke up. "Roger told Walker about the payment he gave me to do his dirty work. Now Walker wants to spin it so that my accusations of emotional blackmail and rape are just because Roger stopped paying me..... Also, this arsehole of a lawyer is now targeting Char too.... He's trying every trick in the book to make her lose custody of her kids."

Siobhan bowed her head. A curse must be on her, everyone she's ever cared about has always been hurt because of her.

Marjorie reached out her hand and
placed it on Siobhan's. "We'll get through this, my love."

" No..... without a statement from Viv, he'll get away with it and Roger will be free again. You know what he'll do then. You and I are as good as dead," Siobhan said, defeated. "But Roger will try to get me first..."

Siobhan looked up. "I'm going to leave London. As soon as Roger is out of prison, he'll come looking for me. That will give you enough time to go into hiding too..."

"No, absolutely not!" shouted Reece.

But the blonde had already made up her mind. She stood up. " Thanks for everything... Take care of yourselves.....". She quickly left the room. Before she even reached her car, the tears were already flowing.

Siobhan sat in the car and looked at the Nursery, she had to leave everything behind and protect the people she loved.

She wanted to go to Vivian, but she couldn't face her. How could she explain this to her? It would be better if she just disappeared.

She packed only the essentials. Now she was already on her way out of London.

She only stopped driving when the sun was already setting.

She would spend the first night in the car. She wished she had taken her mobile phone with her. But she was afraid of being located.

At least she had packed a few books.

She had packed in a car park in front of an abandoned warehouse.

She had a novel in her hand. It was one of Roger's books. She herself was never a reader.

When she opened the it, she quickly realised that something was strange.

As she held the book in her hand. She realised that something was stuck between the pages.

She flicked through the then until she came to the object hiding between the pages.

Something glittering fell into her lap.

Vivian was home alone. She had asked Dalia to take Jamie for a few days. She wanted to be alone.

Siobhan was gone. Marjorie had turned up at her door last night and told her everything. The manager also warned her about the upcoming trial that was about to take place.

Vivian was angry at Roger, at herself for not being able to remember anything. But also at Siobhan for simply leaving her without even saying goodbye.

It was already the middle of the night and Vivian wanted to go to bed. When suddenly there was a knock at the door.

At first, the nurse wanted to ignore it. But something pulled her towards the door.

" Siobhan...?"

"Hey..."

Vivian grabbed her arm and quickly pulled her into the flat.

"What are you doing here?"

Siobhan looked tired, as if she hadn't slept since she left.
" I have something for you. I had to come back, this belongs too you. But then I have to go again..." tears formed in her eyes.

She carefully took Vivian's hand and put something in it.

"My necklace?"

"Roger hid it in one of his books..."

Vivian stared at the silver butterfly pendant.

Siobhan sighed. " I'm sorry Vivian how everything went. Maybe we have a chance in another life. But with Roger almost on the loose again... I can't be responsible if something happens to you..."

The nurse continued to stare at her necklace.

It was too much for Siobhan, she had to go. It was too painful.

" Siobhan..."

The blonde looked up. Into the woman's dark eyes. There was something different about them.

" I remember..."
