Ophiuchus hands all the twelve zodiacs a small letter.
Pisces was the first one to open the letter, and her eyes widened as she read the content, "This is an invitation to Kiernan's birthday party?"
"Who's Keirnan now?" Libra asks, eyes skimming the letter.
"Lucifer's son," Aquarius says.
"Pretty boy, I must say." Cancer adds
"Is that so?" Taurus raises an eyebrow.
Cancer, completely oblivious to the situation, nods, "Mhm."
Taurus sighs and shakes his head before focusing his eyes back on Ophiuchus.
"How'd you manage to get us all invitations?" Pisces eyes the leader.
"You seem to forget that I'm an expert in making counterfeit," Ophiuchus scoffs, "And besides, I had a little help from the mayor himself."
"So, you must've noticed by now that the birthday party is tomorrow," Ophiuchus says, eyes narrowing to the letters in everyone's hands, "Which, obviously, gives us a great opportunity to steal." He adds nonchalantly.
"You want us to steal on Kiernan's birthday? Tomorrow?" Sagittarius asks, staring at the letter.
"Yep." Ophiuchus, "It's the perfect opportunity, all of the family members and other guests, including Lucifer will be downstairs, soaking his son in all that money."
Ophiuchus lays out the blueprint of Lucifer's house on the table. All members of the zodiac were upstairs in their planning room, surrounding the table, "Alright, so the party will be happening here, downstairs." Ophiuchus places his finger on a little rectangle, "And I've been told and now know that the Heart Of Proxima Centauri will be on the second floor of their mansion."
"The HOPC is the in this room," Ophiuchus moves his hand from the larger rectangle to a smaller rectangle above it, to the right, "It'll be easy to find, it'll be the best-guarded room in the whole house, and have sensors on the door's sides."
Ophiuchus's eyes move from the blueprint to the faces of his team, "Now," He rubs his hands together, "Here's the plan." He takes in a deep breath before explaining-
"Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, Cancer - you guys will be downstairs, I'll need you to find out how the door of the room the HOPC is in can be opened, you'll have to pull some strings, but try all you can." Ophiuchus looks at the four members, who are used to playing their cards more often than the others, "Play your charms wisely."
"All I know for sure is that Kiernan's right index finger's fingerprint is required, but I know for a fact that some other biometry is needed, too." Ophiuchus pauses, "And whatever else is needed, you'll need to find out and get them somehow. Get the fingerprints off the glass Kiernan drinks from, his phone, whatever needs to be done."
The four members of the Face team nodded. Their jobs were understood.
"Now, Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, and Libra - I'll need you guys to sneak into the security room, which is again, on the second floor, around here-" Ophiuchus places his hand on another room now, "You'll need to do whatever you have to with the security, make them unconscious? Then, you'll have to delete all the footage that covers the Fists team when they make it into the sightline of the cameras. I'll also need you to disable anything that prevents the Fists team from making it to the HOPC."
"Virgo, Libra, I'm hoping you're done with making a replica of the HOPC?" Ophiuchus looks at the said signs.
"Almost, the paint needs to dry, it'll be done by tomorrow."
"It weighs the same as the original thing, I hope?"
"Precisely the same weight," Virgo replies.
"Good, because the Fists team is going to need it for a bait-and-switch," Ophiuchus says, eyes now on Aries, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Pisces, "You guys, will have to put the plan into action. Get past the guards by the door, and make it past the sensors with the biometrics provided by the Face team. Then, you'll have to get past whatever trap is set in place by the devil. But the Minds team will do whatever they can to disable the traps. And then, perform the switch. Make sure you do it right, one mistake, and an alarm goes off. "
Ophiuchus looks at all twelve of them, "Understood?"
They nodded.
"Okay, then." Ophiuchus says, "I know you won't mess up, never have. You guys find a way to get through everything. And please, please don't die."
All twelve zodiacs looked at Ophiuchus with smiles on their faces, Taurus grinned, "We won't die even if our lives depended on it."
"You do realise that makes absolutely no sense?" Ophiuchus muses, almost concerned.
"Yep," Taurus says, running a hand through his hair.
"Of course, now, pizza, anyone?" Ophiuchus said.
They all rushed down for dinner, Ophiuchus staying with them for this day.
Ophiuchus watched his team, and all of them were so happy. He knew none of them would die. They wouldn't let that happen. The bond these twelve had was unlike anything else. Criminally bonded, he likes to say. All of them were bought together by fate, just twelve adults who were tired of leading a normal life. What's so exciting about sitting behind a desk with a laptop in front of you anyway? And so, they chose a life of crime. Normal workers from eight to five, but the best of thieves from then on.
The twelve zodiacs sat on the sofa, not the least bit scared. And to think, they're going to make a silent deal with the devil quite literally the next day.
"It's a masquerade party." Ophiuchus abruptly says, suddenly remembering the detail, "I'll get you guys masks tomorrow."
"That's great." Cancer smiled, "A lesser possibility for them to keep track of us."
"And the second you guys have come in possession of the HOPC, get the hell out of that place." Ophiuchus says, "I'll be outside at the back of the mansion."
