14th February, 1999:
Bitna let out a tired yawn as she entered the elevator leading to her dorm room. She had been stuck in the study hall all day and was only now getting home — making her extremely exhausted.
Once the elevator stopped at floor nine, she got out and began to search for her keys inside her pockets — lazily taking them out to unlock her door, only to find out that it was already unlocked.
"Did I forget to lock it..?" She questioned to herself as she kissed her teeth, tilting her head to the right with a look of confusion and worry.
Inside of the small one bedroom apartment was pitch black. No a single light on or curtain left open. It felt so silent, so eerie inside — which was not something Bitna normally experienced when entering her dorm.
"Hello?" She cautiously spoke out, reaching to turn on the living room light — only to be cut off by warm toned fairy lights being lit around the room.
Red rose petals covered the ground, leading her into the direction of her bedroom — a small smile widening upon her features.
Bitna pushed open her bedroom door to see her double bed covered in a large rose petal heart shape — candles decorating her room with her favourite romance song playing in the background on her record player.
"Guess who." The voice loomed, a pair of large hands coming forward to block her vision — their hot breath fanning her cheek as they peered over her shoulder.
Bitna let out a shy giggle and turned around, her eyes widened and flashing with lustful sparkles. "I love you." She stated, kissing his smiling lips.
"I love you too," Sunghoon responded, his hands resting on her hips as he stared at her lovingly. "I got something for you." He mentioned, parting from her and approaching her dresser — picking up a white box.
"Here. It's nothing big, but it I thought you'd prefer it to some soppy box of chocolates and a stuffed animal.." he warned, causing Bitna to chuckle as she took the box from him and opened it.
Her heart skipped a beat as a warm blush fanned her cheeks. "It's beautiful." She truthfully stated whilst holding the necklace up — the dangling heart locket so memorising and eye catching.
"Open the heart." Sunghoon suggested, peering forward to take another look at the present he had bought for the love of his life.
Bitna softly nodded and obeyed, a gasp escaping her lips as she stared at the two photos inside in awe.
On the left side of the heart was a candid photo of her and Sunghoon that someone took whilst the two were talking — massive smiles shared between their faces.
And on the right side was a group photo of the whole group when they went on the road trip — it being a memory Bitna still cherishes.
Although, she doesn't speak to the other boys (apart from Jay and Heeseung) much anymore, she still cares for them and misses them with all her heart.
"This is truly the best valentines ever." She commented with teary eyes — and it was in fact the best valentines ever for her.
There wasn't much competition for Sunghoon as all of her other valentines have been complete disasters and a day she used to despise most.
"And this is only our first one together, gifts and surprises will get better as the years go by." Sunghoon stated, taking the pendant from her hands as she turned around and gathered her hair to one side — the older and much taller boy gently hooking it around her neck and softly laying it down on her skin. "You're so beautiful."
Bitna turned around and showed a genuine smile. "You're so perfect." She muttered, kissing him lovingly on the lips and slowly pulling apart to stare into his eyes with a smile.
"I try to be perfect for you, and only you." He replied, his lips slowly meeting hers again as he took in her sweet addictive scent. "I'm obsessed with you and I'm not even ashamed."
Bitna softly giggled and shyly buried her in the crook of his neck. "Don't be ashamed, because I'm just as obsessed with you." She whispered, so quietly that not even the air around them could hear — it was for his ears only.
"I love you."
"I love you too," Bitna gleamed, reaching up to connect their lips once again.
Valentine's Day was perfect and officially her favourite day of the year.
