"I like you!"
Brittany stood there awkwardly, not knowing how to respond to Santana. "Oh."
"Yeah."
"Uhhh-"
Brittany never got her next couple of words out as her phone began to buzz in her pocket, interrupted her awkward conversation with Santana.
"Hey! What's up? Yeah just at a friends house." Brittany glanced up at Santana, "No, she's not here. K, see you tomorrow, love you."
Santana raised her left eyebrow, questioning Brittany, "Who was that?"
"Just Kitty." Santana rolled her eyes at the response.
"I'm gonna go get a drink or something. Bye."
Brittany frowned at this announcement, remembering what had happened the last time Santana had gotten drunk. Santana began to walk away, but she was stopped by the blonde girls' hand on her wrist. "Not on my watch. Remember what happened last time?"
"Not really." Santana shrugged and pulled her arm out of Brittany's grip. "Can you just leave me alone, I don't really want to talk to you."
Brittany stood and watched Santana walk away from her, "Don't expect me to drive you home and tuck you in this time." Santana glared. Brittany was mocking her.
"I don't want you anywhere near my bed, Pierce." By this time, people had started to look over at them as Brittany's outburst had been relatively loud. Quinn started to scurry to a table covered in bottles that Santana was approaching.
"Something tells me that may not be true, San." Quinn giggled a little bit, obviously very drunk. Santana blushed a little, but didn't look at Quinn, focusing instead on a bottle of Vodka. She hated Vodka, but she had a strange craving for it in the moment.
"Why are we even here? There's nothing to do."
Santana saw a flash of hurt in Quinn's face for a split second, but she didn't really care that much. She just didn't want to be near Brittany right now. "Let's just go home."
Quinn reluctantly nodded, "My place or yours?" Both girls laughed as they walked out of the house.
"What the fuck, Brittany! Why couldn't you have just been honest to me?"
"It's not that big of a deal. So what if she was there? Why does it matter? She's my friend. Stop being a baby!
"A baby? If you're gonna just insult me, then maybe you should leave and go fuck your other girlfriend!" Kitty pushed Brittany away and out of her house, leaving the other blonde girl standing on her doorstep in the rain. Santana had been right about Kitty the whole time. Kitty was paranoid that there was something going on between the two! As if! Right?
Brittany walked back to her house in heavy rain. She hadn't driven her car to the get together, opting to get some fresh air. She now regretted the choice as she felt tears and rain mix together, pouring down her cheeks.
"I mean, can't we just watch a different movie for once? We have literally watched Legally Blonde more than ten times in the past month. It's getting boring."
Quinn gave the annoyed girl a mock look of affection, "Someone's still super grumpy!" Santana playfully punched Quinn on the shoulder, laughing and hugging her after. She never actually wanted to be malicious, she was just playing.
Stupid fucking Kitty. Stupid fucking Santana. Everything was stupid. Brittany, herself, felt stupid- and she hated that word with a passion. She was stupid for lying to her girlfriend and stupid for not being able to put together that Santana had a thing for her and stupid for forgetting to feed her cat for the past two days (Tubbington was very hungry).
