— CAMILLA —

I shift around uncomfortably on the bed beside Cole—it's not that the bed is hard to sleep in, in fact it's quite comfy—but it's the fact that every time I fall asleep, I wake up with a horrible sensation running through me.

I don't understand it at all.

I feel like I'm going to be sick, I know something bad is going to happen—I feel it in every aspect of my soul.

I glance over at Cole, he's asleep and hasn't awoken once. I lay on my back and place my hands over my stomach as I stare at the ceiling.

My stomach is coiled tight with worry and I can't help myself when I sit up on the bed and place my feet on the floor.

I'm just going to get some water, that's it. I'll be fine.

My feet make no noise against the carpeted floor, the door also makes no sound when I open it slightly.

I amble down the staircase and will myself to remember the layout of the house from when I first walked inside here.

My steps are reluctant as I reach an unfamiliar spot.

I don't know where to go from here...

Suddenly, there's a pained cry from my left, and then it completely stops. My heart pauses for a second and my whole entire body is frozen before I quickly sprint into action and follow the sound.

Oh fuck, what is happening?

I don't know whose room this is, perhaps it is the servants quarters?

I know Dorian's room is all the way at the top floor and he has his own personal elevator to reach his room so it can't be him.

The scream also sounded quite feminine... That woman.

It could've been that woman who answered our door.

I find the room where the noise came from, and at the closer distance, I can hear sobs inside—hysteric cries.

Soon there is a large bang, like something fell on the floor.

I don't think before I open the door and what I see inside makes my jaw drop and my eyes widen. I feel sick to my stomach and my eyes darken, black spots filling my vision before nothing.

COLE

I know something is wrong immediately when I find the area next to me on the bed empty and only slightly warm.

Fear like no other fills me and I hurriedly turn on the lights in the room and check everywhere. I go to the bathroom and still, there's nobody in there.

I turn and hurry out of the room and downstairs, searching everywhere and calling for Camilla.

"Camilla!" I yell, searching in the kitchen.

Xavier and Richard soon come out of their room together, looking flushed but still concerned—and a bit annoyed.

"What are you doing? Some people are trying to sleep and you're just yelling down the entire—" Xavier pauses as he sees my hysterical expression.
