The music thumped in my ears, the bass a steady and hypnotic beat that guided my movements. Avery and I danced, lost in our own world, the earlier tension melting away with each sway of our hips. I closed my eyes, letting the rhythm take over, allowing myself to forget, if only for a moment.

Suddenly, strong hands grabbed my waist, pulling me back against a hard chest. I froze, my body stiffening at the unexpected touch. Hot breath ghosted over my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Miss me, Catalina?" a familiar, sneering voice whispered. "It's such a shame that a mudblood like you is so fucking hot."

William. My heart stopped, the bile rising in my throat. His body pressed against mine, his hands gripping my waist with a possessive, almost painful force. His words were laced with venom, each one a dagger aimed at my already wounded pride.

"Get off me," I said, my voice barely audible over the pounding music.

William chuckled darkly, his grip tightening. "What's wrong, Cat? You were so eager to dance with me before. Or have you forgotten how much you begged for my touch?"

My body stiffened further at his cruel words, a wave of humiliation washing over me. For a moment, I felt paralyzed, my mind racing with memories of the time we had spent together, the promises he had made, the pain he had caused. But then, something inside me finally snapped.

With a surge of determination, I pushed him away with all my strength, turning around rapidly to face him. Anger and defiance blazed in my eyes as I stared at the boy who had once made me feel so small.

"Don't you ever touch me again," I spat over the beats, my voice shaking with emotion.

The music continued to pound around us, the green lights casting shadows on William's face. He looked taken aback for a moment, then his expression hardened, his eyes narrowing with malice. But I stood my ground, refusing to let him see how much he had rattled me.

William's face twisted with aggression, his posture shifting to something more menacing. He stepped forward, his hand reaching out to grab me again. I stepped back instinctively, fear clutching at my chest. Avery stood frozen beside me, her eyes wide with shock and fear, being no help at all.

As I backed away, I collided with someone, my back slamming into them and causing them to spill half their drink. The sudden impact made me turn around and I found myself staring up at none other than Draco Malfoy, the prince of slytherin himself. Fuck.

Draco was undeniably attractive, with his icy blue eyes that seemed to pierce right through you and his perfectly styled blond hair catching the green light of the room. His sharp features were a perfect blend of aristocratic elegance and fierce intensity, a combination that made him both captivating and even more intimidating. He wore an expensive, tailored suit that fit him perfectly, accentuating his athletic build. His presence commanded attention, an aura of authority and confidence that was impossible to ignore.

But right now, his raw beauty was overshadowed by the fury in his gaze. His eyes locked onto mine with a mixture of anger and annoyance, his scowl deepening as he took in the sight of his now-spilled drink.

"What the hell-" he started, his voice cold and furious.

Before he could continue, I felt a sharp tug on my arm. William had grabbed my hand and spun me around to face him. His grip was painful, and the aggressive pull made me stumble slightly.

"You're not getting away that easily," William hissed, his eyes filled with a dangerous glint.

Fear surged through me, mixing with the adrenaline from the confrontation. My mind raced, trying to figure out how to escape the situation as I felt the hostility radiating from both William and Draco. William's grip tightened, but before he could say anything more, I heard Draco's voice, cold and commanding, from behind me. "Is there a problem here, Carter?"
