Kabir and Ayesha decided to be the kabab main haddi and tagged along with me when I came to New York. Right now I was having breakfast with Kanika on the balcony like the first time we had it and how can I forget my demon siblings are also there? Kanika is so busy chatting with them that she is not even batting a glance, now I feel like the third wheel.
I suddenly get a call and excuse myself to attend it but as if they cared, it was from my manager. "Hello sir, today you're invited to the Grand Oberoi Charity Auction and Award show, should I RSVP for you" All these years I have been going there alone, Oberoi's are one of our rival companies. I told him I would let him know in a bit.
I went back to the table and asked if Kabir would like to go instead of me, I thought that this way maybe I would be able to spend some time with Kanika, but Ayesha interrupted and said "Bhai to go there, Kabir would need a partner and I am not 18 yet so I can't go why don't you only go there as Kabir is single" she giggled at the last part so I said "Ayesha you can accompany Kabir and you're gonna be 18 in a few months anyway, it doesn't matter"
"Bhai why don't you and Bhabhi go there," Kabir said Kanika looked up at me and smiled at the idea, but I wanted to spend time with her at home Alone just us, not in some place that was filled with paparazzi and business associates. so I tried to reason by saying "Actually I don't feel like going so you can go what's the problem"
Kabir said "Why don't I take Bhabhi as my plus, cause I feel like Bhabhi is interested in going" At that moment I felt like popping like a balloon and Kanika was laughing at the situation and said "Of course Kabir why not" trying to tease me and said "Well even I got the invitation for it Harsh Oberoi invited me there on the day of launch" Kabir and my ears turned up at this and we both looked at each other and I said "You know what I will go with you"

In the evening both of them got ready to leave for the venue, even their best friends Nisha and Akash were meeting them there. Kanika decided to go to her boutique and get ready, she was excited about the ball, she always wanted to be a part of this event and this year she was finally invited.
She decided to adorn a red gown as the theme was Red Pearls, it sounded really weird to her as the themes are mostly black and white or vintage pearls. She took out one of her dresses that she had not launched yet, she thought that she would surely stand out of the crowd with this dress.
She glanced at the clock and noticed that she was surely going to be late so she decided to meet Rishi at the venue. She hurriedly put on her earrings and heels and rushed to the venue, due to her large dress she wasn't able to drive so she decided to take her office car.
When she reached the venue, the entrance was covered by paparazzi and journalists, she decided to use the VVIP entrance to avoid them, but to her dismay, they were there also except the number was less. Once she reached inside after feeling like she was blinded by all the camera lights, she tried calling Rishi but it went to his voicemail instead.
