"Welcome to our first meeting

"Welcome to our first meeting. This investigative committee is temporary and will function until we have a clear understanding behind the disappearance of our fellow werewolves," Song Kang, the leader of the assembly chosen by the ministers, addressed his fellow members.

The morning session of the council was successful. All the ministers second the notion of forming a temporary body which would overlook the investigations. Ministers from various disciplines were handpicked and elected by the King and his council ministers.

Jungkook made active contributions during the whole process. Unlike the rumours of his snobbish personality, he presented his ideas with a clear head and only where they were useful and necessary. The ministers were pleased to see the young prince respecting the traditions of their court instead of overriding them with obnoxious brazenness which they had expected.

At last, when the ministers unitedly proposed their Prince Song Kang, to be the committee leader, the old king felt proud and elated. He accepted the proposal at once thinking this opportunity could serve as another test to assess his son's governing skills.

The next day, all the appointed members gathered in the fortress' ministry for their first official meeting. After a brief introductory speech from all the members, the members jumped right into discussing important matters. Jungkook playing the role of a silent member keenly observed the exchange of ideas. He didn't have much to add anyway, knowing little to nothing about Ignitus' internal bureaucracy.

After a heavy round of tiring brainstorming and discussions, a list of twenty major villages was shortlisted for their area of search. Now, having something to build on, Jungkook spoke his first words in the session, "So when are we starting ground investigations in these areas?"

His question caused a ripple of silence spread through the room. At the overblown shocked response, Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows. For a moment he even doubted if what he said was unintelligent. He would hate for that to be the cause, especially when the royal historian was present in the meeting taking down every minute of the session. He would hate to be labelled as the idiot Crown Prince of the Bangtan empire for aeons to come.

Glancing nervously at the recorder, he quickly gulped his nerves before straightening his back. He would at least like to be remembered as confident.

"We?" Song Kang finally questioned with an eyebrow raised. His seemingly innocent question came as condescending through the whispers and murmurs surrounding Jungkook.

Jungkook, ignoring the whispers, scrunched his brows and slowly nodded. "Yes, we. Aren't I a part of the assembly, too" He said stoically.

"Prince Jungkook, your insights have been valuable up until now. But, from here on, I'd like to clarify that this is strictly Ignitus' internal matter now. As the representative of the Emperor, you're welcome to observe our meetings and impart advice but, all the decisions would now be handled by us," Song Kang without an ounce of diplomacy, harshly rebutted.
