Rosalie Williams

"You're going to be safe right hunny? Geno said he would be there at the school to help you, make sure you find him alright?"

"Dad, Everything's going to be fine, I'm okay" I giggle.

I hear him let out a breath of air through the phone. "I just want you to be okay sweetie, are you sure you're okay over there?" He questions.

Dad is usually like this, worried and protective. But that's just what makes him dad. He's always been there for me and helps me with everything and anything. Although I'm kind of glad to have some personal space for the next while...

But! I will miss him. But I am excited for the new opportunities at UConn, I have been given the chance to be the woman's basketball team's physical therapist/trainer.

I've heard many great things about the basketball team. Many players have injuries but still play amazingly. I looked into the team when I decided to transfer here, everyone seems amazing and I'm excited to see everyone.

There maaaay be one player I like the most. Just a certain blonde with a knee problem.. but that's beside the point!

"Here you are miss, you need any help with your bags?" The driver asks.

"No thank you, I hope you have a wonderful day" I smile

Taking my bags from the trunk I wave to the driver as he leaves. Walking into the dorm building I look around for the familiar face.

"Rosalie! It's so good to see you" Geno says.

"Hey! Thank you for getting me here, I missed you" I
wrap my arms around him giving him a big hug.

Geno has been a friend of my family since before I was born. I grew up with him being at family dinners and holidays.

He talks to me about my dorm and that I will have a roommate. Giving me my school schedule he tells me when the team will have practices and games.

The team has a practice this afternoon and he said it would be a great time for me to settle in and meet the team.

My excitement builds just thinking about it, I'm what people would call a "people person".

Geno sets off as he has a busy schedule but wishes me luck and says see you later. Making my way to the elevator I'm met with the most disappointing, heart wrenching thing.

The elevator is down.

These weak legs and arms aren't built to carry these suitcases up these stairs.

As I stare up to my downfall, I start hauling these bags up the stairs. By the second floor I'm already dead.

With determination I make it up the third floor. Okay so what I wasn't "that kid" in gym class. I was the kid with asthma who could never play the sports the other kids played.

Standing in front of room 113A I take in a breath, praying for a nice roommate.

Pushing the key in I open the door with my foot. Pulling in my suitcases I close the door behind me.
