She radiates happiness. As if just seeing her smile brightens a day just a little more.

I'm stuck in my spot, feet planted to the ground. Her beautiful green eyes meet my own. For a second, just a second, we look at each other.

Then a faint blush rises to her cheeks, a shy smile takes place on her face, giving me a small wave she turns back to her friend.

Holy shit. She's beautiful.

My shoulder is bumped, looking over Kk has a shit eating grin on her face.

"You like the new staff member?" She laughs

"Staff? She looks too young for that?" I question

"Nah I heard she's like, super smart and everything and knows Geno, so he worked some stuff out and got her down here" she explains.

"Okay everyone! Please come over here I got an announcement for you before we start" Geno yells as the whole team makes their way over.

"Now, starting today we will have a new member joining us in the gym and at games, I'd like you all to meat Rosalie, she will be our new physical trainer. Now you all better treat her with the same respect you treat me with, today she will be meeting with each of you and going over injuries or any thing she deems necessary. Now, I'll give you a few minutes to introduce yourselves before we start"

Rosalie takes a step forward, "Hello everyone, my name's Rosalie but a lot of people call me Rose or Rosie, I'm very excited to be working you all and it's an honour to be here. I want you all to feel welcome in my office and I think this is going to be great"

She has a cheerful smile on her face as she introduces herself, the team claps as she finishes and she smiles shyly.

The group goes up one by one introducing themselves before heading to start practice. "Let's go Bueckers, you're not gonna get very far if you're just gonna stare" Nika says grabbing my arm to bring me in front of the beauty herself.

"Hey Rose, this is Paige. She's was a little shy to come meet ya" Nika smirks.

"Shut up that's not true" I groan, looking back to Rosalie I see her let out a giggle before covering her mouth with her hand.

God if it meant I had to embarrass myself to get her to laugh, I'd do it every damn day.

"Uh well- hello, I'm Paige but well you already knew that I guess. Uh it's really nice to meet you Rosalie" I say, sticking out my hand for her to shake.

Surprising me she ignored my hand and takes a step forward, wrapping her small arms around my neck, standing on her tiptoes to give me a hug.

Quickly glancing around my eyes meet Genos, "She's a big hugger" he smiles.

I gently circle my arms around her waist being careful to not make her uncomfortable. "Well it's nice to meet you Paige, I'm excited to work with you" she says, smiling as she pulls away.

Not wanting to bother her with my hands lingering, I bring my hands in front of me, fiddling nervously as I look at her.

No one makes me this nervous, so why is she?

"Rose why don't you start with your first meeting? Get things rolling" coach suggests.

She smiles before turning to Nika, "You're my first one, let's go to my office and we will get started" Nika gladly follows Rosalie and she turns back to me smirking.

"Let's go Bueckers I'm not gonna wait forever" coach says.

Quickly setting my things down I join the others in the court and we start up practice.

She's called in everyone but me.

I'm anxiously waiting as Ice walks out over to me. "Your turn, look she's giving out suckers" She laughs holding up a red heart shaped lollipop.

I make my way over to the door of the large room where her office should be. Okay maybe I walked over there a little quickly, so what?

As I stand in the door of her office she's furiously typing away in her phone. Her brows are furrowed as she bites her bottom lip.

A knock from me causes her to jump in her seat. "Oh! Paige there you are, gosh you scared me" she breaths.

"Oh uh, sorry bout that. You okay? You seemed a little.. upset?" I question.

"Ah, yes it's.. well it's just an ex, she's just not happy with the breakup and won't leave me alone. But I mean it's her fault she- oh gosh I'm sorry you don't care about that" she laughs.

A she? Well, point one for me. "No don't worry about it, I get it you know? I had a bad ex, she was.. a treat I'll say that" I chuckle leaning against the doorframe crossing my arms.

"Oh, you're um, into girls too..?" She trails, obviously nervous asking the question.

"Mhm.. I am" I smirk.

She blushes, turning around to her computer and turning it off. Grabbing a folder she turns back around.

"Um well for today I'm just going to go over a few things with you to get an understanding of any injuries you've had or currently have. Why don't we go out there" she smiles.

It's as if there's a switch that turns on when she talks about work. It's cute.

She's gone over a few exercises with my knee and ankles, writing down notes and complimenting how well my knee has healed.

You know, she does this cute thing when she's focused where her brows furrow and bites at her lip. She's like, this ray of sunshine that brights up a room.

That's what she is. Sunshine.

It's the only word that comes to mine as I look at her, smiling and laughing.

Sunshine.

Hello my subjects.

Chapter two is out and I hope it's not too shitty😞

Life update: so I'm a ginger right, AND I CANT TAN. Who made me like this. I mean, I'm not even burnt. I was in the sun for an hour and a half. Absolutely no tan lines.

Also I hate my bsf's bf. Like who said you can be such an ass?
