Rosalie Williams
The airs hot as my eyes grow tired, the loud music and laughter blend together.
Before my body can drift off I hear hushed voices around me, "Maybe you should take her home? She looks beat"
"Yeah she needs some rest. She probably shouldn't have had so much for her first party"
The rooms too loud for me to know who's talking, I groan lifting my head up from where it was resting- which I soon found out was Paige's arm.
"I'm okay- look I'm fine" I smile standing up but before I can take a step forward my head grows dizzy as I stumble back. A pair of hands snake their way around my waist as I'm lowered down.
"I'm gonna take you home okay?" Paige's breath is hot on my skin as she speaks. Not able to form any words I nod and she stands up pulling me with her.
"Say your goodbyes alright sunshine? I've just gotta find Kk real quick"
I lean down to the girls on the couches giving them hugs and bidding them goodbye. I try to walk to the front door but seeming to get lost in the crowd along the way.
I hear something drop in front of me and then there's a tap on my shoulder. "Hey uh sorry my friend stole my keys could you just grab them for me?" He laughs.
I turn my head and behind me is a pair of silver car keys. "Oh yeah! Sure"
I turn around and lean down reaching for the keys but a sweaty hand grabs at my waist, my backside hitting a man's crotch.
I've never moved faster in my life, I shot up straight trying to turn around but the grip on me only gets stronger.
"Hey! Let me go!" My words do nothing as he and his friends laugh at my weak attempt of moving.
"What I just want to have a little fun" His breath smells disgusting as he speaks, his sweaty palms running from my waist to my chest.
"You better get your hands off of her Chris" The boys movements stills and his grip loosens giving me the right moment to get out of his grasp. I turn to find Paige standing behind him with a tight grip on the back of his neck.
"You wouldn't want me talking to your coach would you?" His eyes go wide from her words and he shakes his head. "That's what I thought asshole. If you touch her again I'll break those fingers of yours" she shoves him in the direction of his friends and he doesn't waste anytime walking away.
I bring my arms up to my stomach holding it as I look up at Paige who now stands in front of me. Her eyes grow worried as she rests a hand on my arm.
"Are you okay? I shouldn't have left you- shit no no please don't cry"
I feel tears pool in the corner of my eyes, "oh sunshine- I'm sorry. Come on let's get you outside for some air" her arm moved to my lower back as she directs me outside.
I sniffle as the cold air washes over my body. We walk over to her car and she turns me around, my back barely touching the car door.
"I'm sorry sunshine, he didn't hurt you did he?" She questions.
"I- I don't know- I don't think so, he just grabbed me a little hard is all" my voice is quiet, her hand comes up to my face as she wiped a tear that had fallen on to my cheek.
