Hailey's pov

I start to pace.

I'm scared.

I haven't told anyone yet.

But I had to start somewhere.

Why not the person I care about the most?

Who also happens to be the my boyfriend.

I soon see him.

Tall, handsome, blackish blue hair, and green eyes.

My boyfriend for 4 years.

"You wanted to tell me something?" He saids

"Yes I do! Let me whisper it." I say

He leans in and I tell him.

A few days later

Jake's pov

Hailey hadn't been in any of her classes so I was checking on her and dropping off her school work

I knock on Hailey's dorm door

No answer

I knock again

Still no answer

I try to get in

It's unlocked

That's concerning

I walk inside

I gasp at what I saw

The place is a mess!

Beer cans all over the place. Clothes on the floor. Rotten food. Dirty laundry and dishes all over. Melody, hailey's dog, had obviously been not let out at all she came up to me looking hungry and guilty. Maybe she was guilty because of the piles on the floor. I walk into the kitchen and feed the dog. Then I look for Hailey. I nearly cry when I find her passed out on the couch in her bedroom knife in her hand and a pool of blood under the other.

Cuts on her arms.

I grab a old towel from her rag drawer (A/N my mom has a rag drawer) and clean her bed off and place it on the bed.

I then gently pick her up.

Her body felt fragile and small. I carry her to bed and slowly put her down.

I grab a rag and start to clean her cuts. After I grab some old rags and start to rip them to make bandages.

After an hour i was all done.

I looked around and decided to start cleaning.

Hailey's pov

Later

My head hurts

I open my eyes and see that room has been cleaned.

Just then Jake walks in with a tray.

"Good morning princess!" He saids cheerfully

I nod and sit up against my headboard

He places the tray on my lap. On it is a bowl of chicken and rice soup, a slice of a baguette, some triple chocolate ice cream, a blueberry and peach boba tea, a cup of orange juice, and a rose in a small vase

I nod in thanks and start to eat

Jake sits "so you want to talk about it? You don't have to tell me everything."

I swallow and tell Jake that Keith broke up with me. I leave the part about my confusion out. I swore no one else would ever find out.

A 2 years later

"I love you!"

"I love you more!"

"No I do!"

A year ago. Same day we started dating.
"Hey babe?" Jake asked

"Yeah?" I replied

"Happy pride month."

My eyes go wide

I run out and into the bathroom

He couldn't possibly know

"Princess? Are you ok."

"No!"

"What's wrong? Are you sick?"

"No!"

I hear Jake unlock the door from the outside

"What's wrong?" He asks gently as he wraps his arms around me

"I can't tell you you'll leave me like Keith did!"

"Baby I'm not him."

I summon all my courage

Jake's pov

I watch Hailey waiting for an answer

She mumbles under her breath

"What did you say princess?"

She mumbles a little louder

"I still can't hear you."

"I'm.." she says but mumbles the last part

"Princess are you going to tell me or what?" I say annoyed

"Stop pressuring me!" She yells

"Well how am I supposed to hear you when you mumble!"

" use that shapeshifter hearing!"

"Hailey stop being so hard!"

"I'm being hard? You have been the worst roommate! EVER!"

"How am I being a bad roommate?! I clean your messes! I cook for you! I do your laundry! I clean your dishes! I let you kick me in your sleep! And I'm a bad roommate!"

"You never want to talk!"

"Because you get like this!"

"I do not!"
