୨⎯  WEEK 1 ⎯୧
day 3. wednesday

the ship's horn blared as it approached the dock, mykonos in clear view now. you stood out on your balcony with yuji right next to you, wind whipping through your hair.

yuji had woken up extra early and shook you awake, saying something about 'leaving.' at first, you had no idea what he was talking about until he reminded you of that your parents had signed all of you up for an excursion.

at first you were annoyed. it was vacation; you wanted to sleep in, not get up early just to walk around on some absurdly hot beach. so far, this was shaping up to be the best vacation.

tsukishima was still on your mind. he was such a hypocrite. he called you childish and yet he was the one throwing a tantrum because you bumped into him.

you pushed your apprehensions to the back of your mind, instead trying to focus on the scenery in front of you.

you leaned over the railing, admiring the clear waters and pearly beach in the distance. yuji's eyes were fixated on you, as if you might fall at any second, his hand hovering over your back.

a smile pulled at your lips. you could already feel the warm sand under you feet, and the cold sea nipping at your skin. the dock was buzzing with excitement, passengers engaging in animated conversations, others capturing the island with their phones.

you and your family began making your way down to the lobby in order to find your guys' group. many people decided they would simply explore on their own and were off once the ship had stilled. you were down in the lobby, checking in with your assigned group along with your parents.

you were finally to ease into the experience, forgetting about everything with tsukishima until you caught a glimpse of yamaguchi checking in with your group leader.

your heart sunk, and you slowly followed the boy with your eyes. chances were that if he was here, then tsukishima was too.

you hated that you were right. you let out a dry laugh, your eyes landing on the blonde. he was leaning against the wall, a disinterested look on his face, but you knew better to believe that he was really so indifferent. he was listening to every word.

"what are you looking at?" yuji leaned down to your height, trying to follow your eyes.

you didn't answer. you felt that if you didn't you might be able will tsukishima away. of course, that was irrational. but this was bullshit.

seriously. you glanced at yuji, wondering if maybe he was playing some cruel trick on you, then you filtered your gaze towards tsukishima. maybe he was really following you. either or, it had to be. there was no way that in the span of three days you just happen to run into him five times.

"what?" yuji asked again, pouting at you. "tell me!"

you shook your head before turning to your parents. "nothing. let's go." your vague response made him whine. he hated when you ignored him. yuji trailed behind you, trying to convince you to tell him.

yuji followed you to the gathering point for your group. passengers around you were all murmuring in excitement, accidentally bumping into you a few times. you scoffed lightly to yourself, lost in your thoughts again. people were bumping into you, and you didn't think it necessary to go off on them for it.
