𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟖

As the two children left the Ice cream shop. They went off to do a little bit of sightseeing around the area. They weren't supposed to be wandering off in different areas or neighborhoods by themselves but they did it anyways.

Michael's hand was intertwined with Anna Mae's. He felt nothing but warm and comfort when they held hands, he was relaxed and the pain he felted last night went away instantly. Anna Mae glanced at him noticing the calm look on his face "So what do you want to do next?" She finally broke the silence

"Huh? oh it doesn't matter..I don't know much about Detroit. You live here right? do you have any ideas?" He asked "No I'm from North Carolina but I'm basically here every other month and summer break so technically i kind of do know a little stuff but only around this area..there's a museum around here"

Anna Mae looked at Michael who eyes beamed with excitement when he heard the words 'Museum'. "Okay then let's go" He gripped her hand tighter with a smile "Wait can we take the bus or cab? I don't wanna walk my feet hurts!" She complained

It has been a while that they've been up walking around their feet loosing track of time. Michael nodded and luckily a yellow cab was near by "There goes one right there" He announced pointing, Michael and Anna Mae ran across the street with cars honking and stopping with the older folks shouting

The giggled getting into the cab knowing this will be a long day of fun for them. Anna Mae felt eagerness in her stomach, she made a friend and got time to spend this entire day with him until they were caught. Michael also felt the same way with the proud look on his face but deep down he was scared because of his father Joseph, But Anna Mae covered that just by being there and holding his hand. "Where do you kids wanna go?"

The man looked at the two kids sitting in his backseats whom stared at each other giggling. He took off his hat putting it on the seat and turned to face them to repeat himself once again "Excuse me" His pale complexion was now red by the hotness of the sun. Their laughter died down once they turned to look at him "Where do you kids wanna go?" He asked again hoping they'll answer

"Ummm" Anna Mae started off "The museum! anyone is fine" She told him with a smile "Okay" He nodded smiling at them both as he turned around and started up the car

As they made their way on the road Michael laid his head on Anna's shoulder.  Michigan heat was some else especially it being July, that ice cream didn't do him no justice he was starting to sweat bullets from it being hot. "Are you okay?" Anna Mae asked him "Hm" He hummed
