"Andrea wake up it's time for school" Ethel walked into Anna Mae's bedroom.  Anna Mae squirmed around still asleep while her mother goes over to the window moving the curtain. "I said get up Andrea! you won't be late this year!"

The covers were moved off her and she groaned sitting up whining "I don't want to go mommy! Can I just be homeschooled? you have the money" She pleaded

Ethel rolled her eyes going to the closet roaming through the clothes "I don't care if I was rich. You're going to school and who'll even teach you while i'm at work? huh?"

Anna sat up in the bed rubbing her eyes shrugging. Her mother was right because who would be teaching her? they lived in a middle class neighborhood in Greensboro where it's kind of hard to find a homeschooling teacher around. She just sighed getting out of the bed, her mother pulled out a baby blue dress with white socks and her brand new white clip on shoes.

"I'm gonna head downstairs to prepare breakfast. Go wash ya face and brush ya teeth girl" Her mother walked out the room, she was wrapped up in her robe with curl rollers in her head with a bonnet.

Anna Mae left her bedroom heading towards the bathroom to get herself freshened up, when she was fully cleaned and dressed. The breakfast her mother made filled the house up with a delicious scent of pancakes, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, and freshly made orange juice.

She sat down blessing the food before digging in "This is so good" She munched down "Stop talking with ya mouth full or you'll choke. I ain't got time to be heading to a hospital" Ethel gave her a look that any other black mother would give their child with a scolding look

Ding Dong! "Who is it?" Anna Mae looked towards the door with her stuffed mouth "Girl- you know what never mind" Ethel sighed giving up trying to scold her and didn't want to repeat herself anymore Ding Dong! "I'm comin!" She adjusted her robe walking towards the door swinging it open

A tall handsome dark-skin man with a mustache and low cut stood on their porch. Ethel opened up the screen door to get a better look at him and he knocked her right off her feet instantly "Good morning, Sorry to bother you on this Monday morning but I just moved here across the street. I guess the mailman mixed up our address"

She held out his hand with a beauty look on her face, even though it was morning and she had no knock a man off their feet look on. She still had a top tier face card with a dimpled smile "Oh it's no worries. Thank you for being so kind enough to bring it to me..?"
