FAYE KINGSLEY
Stepping onto the campus of Star Museum Academy was like walking into a dream. The architecture was breathtaking, with sleek modern buildings that glistened in the sunlight and intricate designs that showcased the Academy's prestige.
"Is my wig okay, girls? Does it look like a scrub brush?" Stephanie asked, worried.
"You look good now. I think the three of us look presentable," I replied.
Mr. Anderson met us at the grand and towering gate of Star Museum Academy. It was truly impressive.
"You did a great job disguising yourselves. Just be careful with your actions, okay? Let's head to the director's office to get your schedules and uniforms," he said with a smile before walking ahead.
The three of us paused, took a deep breath, and then followed Mr. Anderson.
As we walked through the bustling halls of Star Museum Academy, I couldn't help but feel like an imposter. Our disguises felt itchy and awkward, and I kept glancing around, half-expecting someone to point and shout, "Fraud!"
But no one did. Instead, we blended in surprisingly well. Eliana led the way, her head held high and her stride confident. Stephanie and I followed, trying to emulate her nonchalance.
Everywhere we looked, there were students bustling about, each wearing immaculate uniforms and different colored neckties—green, purple, red, and black. I couldn't help but wonder about the significance of the tie colors. Maybe they indicated the year level? But there wasn't much time to ponder. We headed straight to the director's office, trying to ignore the whispers and glances from other students.
"Wow, they're tall and handsome," I heard one girl murmur. I couldn't help but smile inwardly, but I reminded myself to maintain a nonchalant and mysterious demeanor. The last thing we needed was to draw too much attention and risk our disguise being uncovered.
"We just arrived, and we're already getting popular. Handsome moments?" Eliana boasted, wrapping her arm around us, which made Stephanie and me punch her playfully.
I couldn't help but look around, feeling intimidated by the presence of the students here. It was obvious they came from powerful and wealthy families.
I stifled a laugh when I noticed Stephanie winking at the girls. She was really feeling being a boy, but I hoped she wouldn't take on the playboy persona too much. I hissed at her to stop her flirty acts.
"Good morning, Mr. Anderson, and to these handsome gentlemen," the director greeted us as we entered the office. We exchanged nervous glances, sweat trickling down Stephanie's forehead. My hands were trembling, so I hid them behind my back.
Director Natalia chuckled softly. "Ladies, I know about your arrangement with Mr. Anderson. I'm just fooling around. You look decent, I'll give you that."
Relief washed over us. Director Natalia continued, "You'll still use your last names. So, Ms. Eliana, your name will be Eli Orland. Stephanie, you'll be Stephen Davidson. And Ms. Faye, you'll go by Fayeton Kingsley. Here are your uniforms. You'll be wearing green neckties since you're new here. The Academy has a ranking system based on your skills in singing, dancing, and playing music. Every month, there's an event where you showcase your talents. Your professors will explain more, but this is just a heads-up." We could only nod, still feeling nervous and weak-kneed.
She handed us our uniforms and continued, "Since you're supposed to be boys, you'll stay in the boys' dormitory. There are two to a room, so one of you will have a boy roommate."
