Gon was hidden behind a tree, watching as Hisoka stood atop a sturdy cliff. Hisoka's thumb and index finger formed a circle around one eye, scanning for prey. His eyes gleamed when he spotted Kurapika and Leorio.

A hemotropic butterfly, with its red body and bright wings, landed on a leaf near Gon's location. The sudden movement caught his attention. He shifted his gaze, watching the butterfly flutter its wings before flying off into the distance.

Hisoka observed the two teens with keen interest, reminiscing about their clever decision to split away from him and Leorio's bravery in facing him off. "Oh... it's them..." he muttered, a smirk creeping onto his lips.

"Amusing," he said, licking his lips in delight. He gracefully leaped off the cliff, trailing after Kurapika and Leorio.

Hisoka had found his prey. Now, what would Gon do, knowing that the jester had decided to go after his two friends?

"So I've figured out who my target is, but how am I supposed to find her on this huge island?" Leorio commented, sighing for what seemed to be the hundredth time that night. He rubbed the back of his neck in frustration, the moon casting a silvery glow on the forest floor. "Isn't walking around aimlessly a waste of energy?"

Kurapika deadpanned at the male, his gaze steady and unyielding. "Constantly whining would be an even bigger waste of energy," he retorted, his voice calm but firm.

"You already have six points, so you're finished. But if I don't find my target—" As Leorio continued his complaints, his voice tinged with worry, the two teens came to an abrupt halt. Ahead, leaning casually against a tree, was Hisoka, a card twirling effortlessly between his fingers.

Hisoka's golden eyes met theirs with a lazy, almost predatory gleam as he greeted, "Hey."

"Hisoka...!" The two teens exclaimed in unison, their voices a mix of surprise and dread.

"Imagine meeting you here..." Hisoka flicked the card in his hand with a playful smile, the moonlight highlighting the sharp angles of his face.

"Haha... I keep running into people I don't want to encounter," Leorio muttered, kissing his teeth in annoyance and mentally face-palming.

"You see... I need two more points. Could you give me your tags?" Hisoka's voice was smooth, almost teasing, as he continued his request.

'Does he not know who his target is?' Both teens thought simultaneously, beads of sweat forming on their foreheads.

"You said that you need two additional points. Which implies that we are not your targets, correct?" Kurapika concluded, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

"I'm the one who's asking the questions here," Hisoka straightened up, placing a hand on his hip. "Will you give me your tags or not?" He lifted the card to his lips, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

"That depends," the blonde replied firmly. "We currently have four tags. Mine, my target's, Leorio's, and a tag worth only a single point to us." Kurapika raised four fingers, then lowered two. "Of these, only two could be the number of your target: mine or the tag worth a single point."

Hisoka lowered the card as he listened intently, his eyes never leaving Kurapika's.

"Leorio's number is #403. He was the target of #16, Tonpa. And my target was #16. Each person was assigned a different target, so #16 and #403 are out," Kurapika continued, his voice steady and analytical.

"Indeed. Neither of those is my target. So?" Hisoka took a light step forward, his presence menacing. The two teens instinctively raised their guards, taking a wary step back.
