"You have no idea. But seriously, imagine having something like that. It would be so cool." My eyes sparkled with amusement. "I’ll keep that in mind. Who knows? Maybe one day you’ll have your own unique purple knife."she grinned, returning her focus to the movie. The rain continued to fall outside, but inside our little hideaway, the atmosphere was warm and filled with a sense of shared discovery and growing connection.

It's been a few days after our little movie night at the hideaway heaven. I had called Ace to check on the mission progress and also on the cute gift I planned for Rosè as her birthday is coming up next week,  I was pacing around the house.

I knew that Rosè was the only other person home, her parents had gone out for a date night. The conversation with Ace was casual, mostly catching up on recent events and discussing some work-related topics. As I walked towards the kitchen.

I heard Rosè’s voice coming from inside. I paused, curious, and realized she was on a call with Sofia. Her tone was animated, and it sounded like she was in the middle of trying to cook something."I mean... Isn't that true?" Rosè said, a mix of exasperation and excitement in her voice.

"Who wouldn't like a man who'd treat her like a princess and fuck her like his whore?"I stopped in my tracks, a mix of surprise and amusement washing over me. I couldn’t help but chuckle softly at the boldness of her statement, a side of Rosè I hadn't quite seen before.

Trying to act nonchalant, I stepped into the kitchen, still holding my phone. I saw her, she was engrossed in her conversation and barely noticed me enter."Yeah, Sofia, exactly," She continued, stirring something in a pot. "It's all about balance, you know?" I cleared my throat softly, trying not to startle her. "Hey, muffin" I said, with a playful grin.

"Need any help with dinner?"she jumped slightly, turning to see me standing there. Her cheeks flushed a deep red, clearly embarrassed that I might have overheard her. "Andrew! How long have you been standing there?".

"Long enough," I teased, raising an eyebrow. "Sounds like an interesting conversation."Rosè bit her lip, still flustered. "Uh, Sofia, I’ll call you back," she mumbled into her phone before hanging up. "I didn't think anyone was listening."

I laughed, walking over to peek into the pot she was stirring. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Need any help here, princess?" She rolled her eyes, a reluctant smile tugging at her lips. "Maybe. Just don't burn anything."

"Deal," I Said, grabbing an apron. "Let's see what we can cook up together."As we worked side by side in the kitchen, the initial embarrassment faded, replaced by a comfortable environment. I couldn’t help but be stunned at Rosè’s boldness and the easy way she embraced her quirks, making our time together all the more enjoyable.

It had been a few days since the embarrassing evening incident, and I had successfully managed to avoid Andrew. The memory of him overhearing my conversation with sofia lingered in my thoughts and still made my cheeks flush with embarrassment.

I kept myself busy, diving into our group presentation project about a finance-related case study.Despite my efforts to focus, the project had its complications. The data I needed was scattered, and some crucial information was missing.

I spent hours trying to put everything together, often working late into the night. The pressure was mounting, and the stress of avoiding Andrew only added to my frustration.

It was afternoon,I sat hunched over my laptop in the living room,  as mom walked in, a concerned look on her face. "Rosè, you've been working so hard lately. Is everything okay?" I forced a smile, trying to hide my exhaustion. "I'm fine, Mom. Just a lot to do for this presentation. It's a tough case study."

Mom nodded sympathetically. "Well, make sure to take breaks and eat something. You need to take care of yourself too." "I will, thanks," I replied, turning back to my screen. As mom left the room, I sighed deeply, rubbing my temples. The case study was proving to be more challenging than I had anticipated.

Just then my phone rang distracting me, as I looked up the caller id I picked it up. It was Sofia I had told her to send some of the research materials, Which she hadn't."where are the materials I asked you to send "I snapped

" Good afternoon to you too Rosè I just called to inform I couldn't find anything you wanted and predicted about the case "she replied sarcastically. I sighed trying to control my frustration. " But... I came up with an idea" She said  her voice hesitant. "And what is that" I asked.

"Why don't you ask Andrew for help he is from the same field and is also experienced" She said in one go. My heart banged against my ribcage. And before I could reply sofia cut the call. I tried calling her back but her mobile was switched off

Anger, frustration and helplessness crawled through my skin making me accept my defeat.
Swallowing my pride and setting aside my embarrassment, I found myself standing outside Andrew's door.

I took a deep breath and knocked."Come in," came Andrew's voice from inside. I pushed the door open and stepped into the room. Andrew looked up from his laptop, a surprised but welcoming smile appearing on his face."Hey, muffin, what's up" he greeted.

"What's up?" I hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "I need your help with something. My finance case study project is giving me a lot of trouble." His smile widened, and he gestured to the chair next to him. "Of course. Have a seat. Tell me what's going on."

I sat down and opened my laptop, showing him the project. "I'm missing some crucial data, and the information I have is all over the place. I just can't seem to piece it together."he leaned in,my heart skipped a beat because of the dangerous closeness. He studied the screen for a few moments. Then he looked at me his expression thoughtful.

I mentally slapped myself for thinking he'd kiss me. "Alright, let me see. First, let's organize the data you have. We can categorize it by type and relevance to the case study."i nodded, watching as he  deftly rearranged the data into a more coherent structure. His approach was straightforward, breaking down the complex information into manageable sections. Within minutes, the chaotic mess of numbers and notes began to make sense.

"Now," Andrew continued, "for the missing data I'll look it up,it'll take about 2 hours " My eyes widened. "Are you sure don't you have work to do" i asked.Andrew smiled "No it won't be a problem"he said

I looked at him with genuine gratitude. "Thank you, Andrew. I don't know what I would have done without your help." He looked at me as if it wasn't a big deal and shook his head " And ya you can start making a proper presentation now I'll give you the Information within 2 hours"

As I left Andrew's room, I couldn't help but replay the last hour in my mind. I had gone in seeking help with my project, but somewhere amidst his clear explanations and confident demeanor, I found myself distracted by how undeniably attractive he looked.

Mentally scolding myself, I walked down the hallway. "Seriously, Rosè," I thought, shaking my head. "He was helping you with a finance project, and all you could think about was how hot he looked?"I sighed, remembering the way his eyes had lit up as he explained things, his easy smile, and the casual way he ruffled his hair when he was thinking.

"Focus, Rosè," I chastised myself. "You have a presentation to finish. This is no time to get lost in silly romantic thoughts." I sat in the dining room and started with my presentation.
