I rolled my eyes, a small smile playing on my lips. "Bishh... We are just friends".We made our way back downstairs, finding Andrew still in the kitchen, looking somewhat lost and amused. I shot him an apologetic smile."Sorry about that, Andrew. Sofia just got the wrong idea."
Sofia grinned at Andrew. "My bad. Nice to meet you, though. I've heard a lot ab- ". I cut her short "By the way why are you here so early didn't you say you had other plans".
The doorbell rang again, interrupting the conversation between me and sofia. I excused myself and walked to the door, opening it to find Revan standing there with a wide grin. Without a moment's hesitation, he stepped forward and enveloped me in a tight friendly hug.
"Hey, Rosè! It's been too long!" Revan exclaimed, his voice filled with warmth.
I returned the hug, smiling."Dude we just met two days ago. " He chuckled.
I led him into the house, where Sofia and Andrew were still awkwardly staring at each other in the kitchen. As soon as Sofia spotted Revan, her eyes widened, and she immediately ran behind Andrew, peeking out cautiously.
"Revan, what are you doing here?" Sofia asked, her voice tinged anger.
Revan's expression shifted, a mix of frustration and determination crossing his face. "I came to talk to you, I'm sorry okay I know im wrong."
Andrew, sensing the tension, stepped between them. "What's going on here?"Sofia's voice rising she almost yells. "Revan, this isn't the time or place. Can't you see I'm with my friends?".
Revan took a step forward, his eyes fixed on Sofia. "I don't care, Sofia. We need to talk. Now."
Andrew held up a hand, trying to diffuse the situation. "Look, maybe we can all just sit down and—"
But before he could finish, Revan brushed past him, grabbing Sofia's arm gently but firmly. "No more running away. We're sorting this out."
Sofia's eyes flashed with anger. "Revan, let go of me! You're being ridiculous."
I watched the scene unfold, my concern growing. "Revan, maybe we should all just take a moment to—"
Revan didn't listen. He lifted Sofia effortlessly, carrying her towards the door despite her protests. Sofia struggled, her voice rising in frustration. "Put me down, Revan! This is not how you handle things!"
Andrew looked at me, his expression a mix of confusion and helplessness. "Should we do something?"I sighed, my shoulders slumping.
Revan paused at the door, turning to look at me. "Sorry for the scene, Rosè. We'll be back once we've talked."
I nodded, a small, understanding smile on my face. "Just... Don't Kill each other, okay?"
Revan nodded, carried Sofia out the door. As it closed behind them, the house fell into a tense silence. Andrew turned to me, shaking his head. "What was that!"
I sigh letting out a breath i didn't realize i was holding. "Yeah, but maybe thats what they needed. Sometimes, I'm so done being this couple's babysitter."Andrew chuckled slightly
With that, we returned to the kitchen, trying to regain the calm atmosphere from before, but with an underlying hope that Sofia and Revan could resolve their issues.
I decided to break the lingering silence. It was the weekend, and with nothing else pressing to do, I saw it as a perfect opportunity to get to know Andrew better. I glanced at him as he finished tidying up the kitchen."
So, Andrew," I began, trying to sound casual, "now that we have some quiet time, tell me more about your new job. What exactly will you be doing?"
Andrew looked up from the sink, drying his hands on a towel. He smiled, appreciating my interest. "I'll be working as an HR manager at a small company nearby. It's a pretty straightforward job, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, and ensuring everyone is happy and productive."
