"You must be feeling quite out of place here, far removed from your world of light and laughter. But don't worry, you'll grow accustomed to the shadows soon enough.
You see, Angel, your wings are clipped now. There's no escape from this realm I've meticulously crafted just for you. Every corner, every crevice, whispers of your fate. A fate entwined with mine, inextricably bound by the threads of destiny.
Do you know why I chose you? It wasn't just your beauty, though that is indeed captivating. It's your light, your hope, and your helplessness. All things I have long since discarded. I want to see if such purity can be twisted, broken. I want to watch the light fade from your eyes. I want to be the cause behind your downfall, I want to prod and poke at your brain and dig out each slither of life you may possible have left.
The world out there, it never deserved you. It took you for granted, but I, I see your true value. Here, under my guidance, you will discover your true self. The darkness that lies beneath that angelic facade. So scream if you must, cry if you will. It only fuels my delight. You are mine, Angel, now and forever. And as the days turn to nights, and hope dwindles to despair, remember this moment. The moment your fate was sealed."
My back shivers against the cold cobble floor beneath my body as my eyes snap open. A light bulb hangs ominously from the stone ceiling, strictly illuminating areas only a few feet from it. It hums quietly as its orange spark struggles to stay alight. Wherever I am I don't recognise it, it's not the basement in the penthouse that's for sure. My vocal cords strain as I open my mouth to utter a word "Tom?" my voice fades off.
"There she is". Toms cracked palm brushes against my cheek, "Where are we?" I shiver once more as my muscles stiffen up, "That's not important right now." He lifts my body up from the hard cold floor and his face becomes illuminated by the light, "How you feeling?" He aggressively pats my knee, "Dizzy?" I answer almost as a question, why would he care? "We're going on a little outing today, you exited?" I sneer at him once more being dragged back to my feet.
He hands me clothes, one of his large t-shirts and a pair of sweatpants, I look down at the puddle of clothing in my hands and allow the thick cotton material to seep through my fingers. My fingertips tingle at the distant familiarity of fresh clothes being placed in my hands. The nauseating smell of laundry detergent mingles with the must in the air, as I lift the shirt over my head. Dust particles fly whimsically through the room, each movement Tom or I make sending them on a frenzy, darting from every direction. "Put them on Angel, we don't have all day." Tom stares coldly, I throw the clothes on quickly and hobble over to him. As I get within arms reach of him he grabs my wrist dragging me into his chest, he slowly places black cloth around my head, tying the back into a tight knot which digs into my scull. He takes a moment before pulling the material over my eyes, he stares hard taking in my features darkened by the shadowy atmosphere, he pauses almost as though his mind stuttered for a second, however the stillness captivating his person quickly exits as he yanks the blindfold over my eyes and turns me around so my back presses against his chest.
Tom breaths heavily, his chest rising nudges my body ever so slightly, he lowers his head and puts his nose against my head, breathing in my scent. His hands slide down my body, gliding from my shoulders to my elbows, to my waist where they pause for a moment, he squeezes my hips hard enough to leave purple marks in place of his fingers. All the air in my lungs rushes out through my mouth as he pulls my body further into his, my back now slightly bending against his chest, he lets out a short, shallow huff as his hands continue their travel, now sliding towards my thighs where they clutch the skin. He bends into me as he places his chin on my shoulder, his hot breath tickles my neck raising goosebumps from deep within me.
