Birthday Brainstorm (ch.1)

3rd person POV

Though, at first, only Tanjiro and Nezuko knew his birthday, as Giyuu never cared to tell anyone. But one way or another, the word of his birthday nearing spread among the pillars and eventually reached Uzui Tengen, the maser of throwing parties.

*Talking among the insect, flame, serpent, and love pillars*"Ugh! I wish I knew sooner! Now i only have a week to plan his surprise birthday party, and if I don't get to it soon, that party will be even more boring than his personality!" Tengen says, bringing his hand up to his forehead, thinking about how to plan the party. "Hey, don't be mean! He's not boring, Uzui!!!" Mitsuri said, in her usual high-pitched voice. "Oh whatever, you're trying to be nice. He's not flashy at all!" Tengen replied, with his usual hint of cockiness to his tone. Tengen went back into deep thought for a second then slightly perked up at an idea. "Kocho, do you know if he drinks? I would guess that you're the one that knows him best and I figured, since we're on the topic of how emotionless he is, maybe he wouldn't be so unbearable if he loosened up, y'know?" Tengen put his hand on his hip, a smile projecting across his face. "Giving that bastard even single ounce of alcohol sounds like an awful idea." Obanai scoffs, but Mitsuri quickly glances at him for being mean, so he shuts up. The short but deadly insect pillar responds to Tengen, despite Obanai's interruption. "I actually don't really know... I've never drank with him, or even seen him drink at that." She tries thinking back to any specific time he's even taken a sip of alcohol, but she can't recall anything. "Well, fuck it, i'm bringing drinks. Even if he might not want them, he will have some no matter what. And he WILL enjoy it." Tengen says, emphasizing "will." Rengoku bursts into the conversation. "GREAT IDEA TENGEN!" Rengoku shouts. Tengen puts his arm around Rengoku and says, "Knew you'd agree, Kyo!" he says, now ruffling Rengoku's hair. "You guys are on a first name bases now...? How great...!" Shinobu says, with her graceful yet lethal voice, with a hint of sarcasm. Rengoku is quick to reply, yelling "OF COURSE! HE IS MY BEST BUDDY!" Uzui put his arm around Rengoku once again, looking at him directly in the eyes, grinning. "Guys, we're getting side-tracked. Back to Tomioka's birthday." Shinobu stated, being one of the only ones taking this seriously. Tengen looks back at shinobu. "Right, my bad." Mitsuri speaks up to suggest something. "How about we gather all of the hashira, excluding Tomioka, to help plan instead of just us? I know it's only a two-person difference but... it could help us with planning!" Mitsuri said, in her normally cheery voice. "I Agree. Also, if I have to be a part of this, so does Shinazugawa." Obanai agreed to Mitsuri's suggestion. Everyone agrees to it and Tengen says, "Ok, we gather everyone tomorrow at the... Butterfly mansion? Are you ok with that Kocho?" Tengen asks. "Sure." Shinobu replies. A simple answer, but it's enough.
