I Know How You Can Distract Him(Ch.4)

Giyuu's POV

I was heading over to the Butterfly Mansion because I have a massive headache, and it's been nagging me all day. As I enter the mansion, Aoi welcomes me. As I make my way to Kocho's office, because I'm guessing that's where she is, I walk by a room, and I notice all of the hashira are in there except Kocho, Shinazugawa, and Tokito.

As I'm walking by, I hear my name. I glance at Iguro, but he doesn't see. I'm guessing they're not talking good about me, it's the usual. I wish I could hang out with them someday. But I'm not deserving of them, hanging out with them is a fantasy. I'm out of place from them. I'm different.

Maybe Sabito would've been worth talking to.

But, soon enough, I made it to Kocho's office. As I open her office door, I see her talking with Shinazugawa and I hear my name. Why is everyone talking about me? Why is Shinazugawa talking about me? What's going on? But, before I could answer any questions (or make more), Kocho walks up to me and says, "Just a moment, Tomioka." She then closes the door behind her, walking back toward Shinazugawa. I hear her mutter something under her breath, but I couldn't quite make it out. I also hear her starting to converse with Shinazugawa again, but it's muffled through the walls, so I can't quite hear that either.

Shinobu POV

Shit, I never knew Uzui could actually think of something smart for once. Though it was partially my idea too, I have to give a little bit of credit. Tomioka's always kind of wanted to be friends with Shinazugawa, as Tanjiro told me. But I also used context clues, as he, Shinazugawa, was one of the only people Tomioka spoke about. He doesn't talk, but a lot of the time when he does, it's about getting along with Shinazugawa, or something along the lines of that. I hope this will bring them together at least a little. Maybe a little more than friends, who knows? I slightly giggled at the thought of them being in love.

"So, as I already said, out of anyone, it would be easiest for you to get Tomioka out of his house. I know his favorite restaurant so maybe you could-"

Then, I was cut off with Tomioka entering the room. Hoping he didn't hear anything, I went up to him and said, "Just a moment, Tomioka." 

I also lightly gestured him to leave, and he did. 

As I was about to speak, I notice Shinazugawa looking at the door and tilting his head. I snapped my fingers in front of him and he snapped back into it (see what I did there? No...? wtv lol :3).

"So, as I was saying, I know his favorite restaurant, *insert a really cool restaurant*, and I was thinking you could possibly ask him out to eat with you?"

I was expecting him to yell at me, or at least look like he wanted to, but no. All he did was sigh. I couldn't tell if it was relief, aggravation, or anything else, just a sigh. Then, he spoke.

"Sure, I can do that."

I couldn't help but smile! I was growing a bit suspicious though. How did he agree so quickly? It's not at all what I expected, but I didn't think too hard about it.

Sanemi POV

As she's about to tell me how to distract Tomioka from everyone setting up the party, Tomioka walks in.

Shit, I hope he didn't hear anything. 

He looked like he was about to say something, but then I think he realized me and Kocho were having a conversation. I never really paid too much attention to him, other than insulting him in one way or another. As there is nothing to really focus on right now, so I look at him. 

I fucking hate him, but, God, he's-

Before I could finish my thought, Kocho snapped in my face. 

She spoke, "So, as I was saying, I know his favorite restaurant, *insert a really cool restaurant*, and I was thinking you could possibly ask him out to eat with you?" 

I pause. Ask him out? As much as I say I don't want to, a small part of me says I do want to. But, I can't show this to Kocho, it's embarrassing. So, I just sigh. I don't know what tone I was going for, but it hided how much I wanted to go out with him good enough. Then, I say

"Sure, I can do that."

Kocho smiled. It made me contemplate if she was onto me. Is she planning something? She was talking to Uzui earlier and snickering, so it's a possibility. Is this just a setup? I try to get my mind off it. I Thank her for helping me. His birthday isn't in a while though, so there's a few days for me to plan. I Figured I would ask tomorrow.
