chapter twenty, i was all over her.

It had been two days since she had gotten that letter, if Alana was going to be honest the death of Arra Norrey didn't hit her as hard as she would have thought, all she felt was for was her brother having to be alone in that state and her nephew having to live without a mother. It was evening, both of them sat in their shared chambers. Aegon sat infront of the fire watching the flames, as Alana stood infront the of the window, watching the sky get dark.
Aegon would occasionally glance back at Alana, trying to study her expression but it was hard as her back was to him. Alana hadn't received a raven from her brother since.
"Cregan hasn't sent a letter yet." Alana looked back at Aegon, leaning against the wall, twisting the rings around her fingers. "I hope he is handling it well.." Alana knew he obviously wasn't handling it well, but she knew he had to be strong for his son's sake.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Aegon said, looking at her over his shoulder, the fire casting a warm glow over his face, highlighting his silver hair and violet eyes.
"Arra and I had only spoken a few times, she was Cregan's friend when we were growing up. She was there for him when both our parents died. She always wanted to be a mother I think.." Alana nodded, looking down at her rings.
Aegon nodded, looking back at the fire. "And how are you with everything...?"
"Honestly, her death didn't really hit me that hard as I thought it would." Alana nodded, before looking back at the window, the sky now pitch black.
Aegon looked back at her, she was facing away from him. Her hair was down, her brown locks cascading down her back, her fingers still fidgeting with her rings.
Aegon sighed and got up, walking behind her. "You're still worried about your brother?"
"I am, but I know I need not to be. He will be okay." Alana nodded, still looking out the window to the stars. She could feel his presence behind her. "Do you think I should write a letter to him?" She turned around to look at him, not realizing how close he was standing to her.
Aegon glanced at her lips before looking at her again, clearing his throat. "Perhaps you should, it might ease your worries."
Alana nodded and walked over to the table, grabbing a paper, ink and a quill pen. She sat down and dipped it into the ink, before she started to write.
Aegon stood next to the table, watching as her brow furrowed in concentration, how her hair had fallen off the side of her shoulder; he fought the urge to brush it behind her ear, and how her teeth slightly bit on her lip as she continued to write.
