It had been hours since Aegon was crowned, and yet there were no dragons surrounding King's Landing, and no armies of Rhaenyra coming to take back what is hers. Silence before the storm, Helaena had spoken to Alana.
But Helaena's words didn't have impact on Alana, as she had got into labor, Aegon once again was talked away by the lead midwives. He had sent Otto and Ser Criston to dragonstone earlier for Rhaenyra to bow and pledge to Aegon, but they had left with nothing.
Aemond was sent to Storms end, to gain Lord Baratheon's allegiance.
Alana was leaning against the birthing bed, she had been in labor for what seemed to be six hours, and six hours since she had seen her children and her husband.
Lysara rubbed her back, patting her forehead with a cloth that was already damp with Alana's sweat. The contractions were very close apart, and Alana was sure the babe would come in a matter of minutes, but all she wanted was her husband.
"My Queen you need to lay on the bed." The lead midwife spoke, putting a hand on her back.
Too weak to say anything, Lysara's helped Alana lay back on the birthing bed. The bed smelt like sweat and was a little damp with her sweat.
As another contraction hit harder than the last, Alana closed her eyes. Pushing away the midwife and her handmaiden.
"Get the King I need him here with me." Alana groaned, turning to the side so that her back was turned on then. "I need my husband."
"My Queen, there is no need for him he-" The midwife began, but was interrupted by Alana's groan.
"I need Aegon...I need my Aegon.." Alana felt a few tear drops fall from her face She had given birth three times without him, yet right now she needed him here.
"You heard the Queen. Get the King," Lysara spoke up to the midwife, the midwife glared at Alana's back before walking to the other midwife's.
Alana hadn't heard the door click open and shut, Lysara kept rubbing Alana's back, patting her forehead with the damp cloth.
Alana needed this to be over, she was in so much pain and she was exhausted. She let out another groan as she felt her stomach tighten again, a midwife check between her legs before walking away.
Alana suddenly felt hands on her shoulders, and a dip on the side of the bed, before someone kissed her head, and she smelt a familiar scent. Aegon.
"I'm here..." Aegon kissed her head again, Alana opened her eyes and looked back at him with tired eyes. He had never seen her this far in labor before, just minutes before a new babe would come out, his heart ached at the sight of her.
"My Queen, you need to start pushing," A new midwife spoke but with a kinder, softer voice than the last.
Aegon helped her sit up, siting next to her as he gazed at the midwife now looking between his wife's legs.
"Push."
Alana grabbed onto Aegon's hand tightly before pushing, wanting this babe out now.
"Now breathe."
"Push."
"Breathe."
"Push."
"Breathe."
Those words kept repeating that Alana had blocked them out, until a loud cry of a babe, "A boy! Your grace!"
Aegon let out a laugh, a cheery noise compared to earlier. "A boy.," He muttered.
Alana weakly held out her arms as the midwife put the boy on her chest, whilst cleaning him with a cloth.
"Congratulations, My Queen." Lysara spoke from the side of the bed, still holding the cloth from earlier.
The babe weakly looked up at Alana he calmed down a bit, Alana noticed he had brown tuffs of hair on his head. It was something that Alana had been wanting, but never spoke a lot about it.
"He had your hair color, my love," Aegon had his hand resting on her head, rubbing her thumb back and forth, trying to soothe her.
Alana smiled, "Our Aerion.." She spoke the babe's name.

It had been an hour since Aerion was born, the children would meet him in the morning. Alana was so happy in that moment that she had forgotten that Aegon was King and Alana was Queen consort.
The midwife's had helped Alana changed into a more comfortable nightgown, and they had been moved to their bed chambers. The King and Queen had separated chambers, but Aegon and Alana shared the King's chambers despite what everyone had said, Alana and Aegon had shared a bed for six years, they weren't going to change it now.
Alana and Aegon were laying together in their large bed, Aegon was rubbing Alana's back as she was so exhausted.
But the doors suddenly opened, Aegon and Alana slowly sat up, thinking it was a midwife to check on Aerion, but It was Ser Coren and behind him was was Aemond.
Aemond had grim expression on his face, his hair and clothes were wet with rain.
"Aemond? Why are you here?" Aegon stood up from the bed, putting on his undershirt.
Aemond looked back at Ser Coren who left the shut the door.
"Aemond?" Alana spoke up, looking at him as he walked closer to Aegon.
"Has something happened?" Aegon asked.
"I-.......Lucerys...Vhagar killed him, along with his dragon." Aemond looked at his feet.
