Merlin Academy (Hades x Maleficent Headcannons)

The Sorcerer's Cookbook

The following night, the VK's were waiting outside Merlin's office under a tree to shelter them from the pouring rain. Hook was up in the tree with his spyglass, looking inside the room from a window. "Coast is clear." He told the group before jumping down and moving to stand between Maleficent and Uliana.

The full line up of the group left to right was Hades, Maleficent, Hook, Uliana, and finally Morgie. Jefferson wasn't able to be there because he'd just gone back to Wonderland for a family emergency.

The power couple on the far left were holding hands with the arm that Hades had wrapped around Mali's shoulders. They all had the gazes fixed on the school and room in front of them. Just as Morgie was about to start heading inside, Uli stopped him. "Not yet." Her eyes were on the black figure running to the school before it jumped over the fence/wall.

After the first person went inside, they saw a second come from the opposite direction of the first before also going inside.

As the thunder rumbled above them, Uliana put her pointer finger under Morgie's chin, turning his head to face her. "Morgie, honey, you keep lookout, okay? If you see Merlin coming, give a signal."

"Oh! Should I do a wolf howl? Or like a dog howl?" While Morgie was talking, Uli rolled her eyes and walked past him and Killian followed.

Maleficent removed herself from the God of Death's grasp, lightly pinching his chin as she walked away. He just looked at her with mischievous adoration before tossing the stick he picked up earlier and following her.

Until they were out of earshot, Morgie kept talking about all of the different howls he can do before deciding to climb up the tree and find a high branch to chill out on.

When they got inside, it was quite obvious that the two figures from earlier were Red and Chloe. They were yelling and fighting the magical security in place to keep people from stealing the forbidden books. So, while they waited, Hades and Maleficent used a bit of their powers to dry everyone off.

Once Uli was sure that the girls had taken care of their biggest obstacle, she opened the doors and walked in. "Wow. What a performance." The sea witch mocked them before pausing to shut the double doors once more after the other three VK's had lined up next to her. "Well, I'll be taking that." She snatched the cookbook from its spot on the wood floor with a tentacle.

Red immediately protested. "Hey, get your slimy suckers off that!"

"Aw!"

"I don't think so." The Princess of Wonderland was held back by her friend.

"It's over," Chloe told her. "There's too many of them."

The VK's smiled: Killian and Uliana pretending to have tears running down their cheeks, with Maleficent putting a hand on Hades' chest and playing with a few of his necklaces while watching the red and blue girls in front of her.

"Finally." Uliana exhaled but was jump scared by Jefferson barging into the room.

"Whatever you do, do NOT open that book, Uli!" He was drenched and breathing heavily, water was dripping down his face.

"What? Why!"

"It's spelled to perma-freeze anyone who's putting it in the wrong hands. Aka you guys."

She groaned, "Shit!"

Then they heard Morgie howling, barking, and meowing to alert the VK's that Merlin was coming.

"Go, gogogogo! Move it!" She immediately shoved Hook in front of her while running to the front door.

The power couple shut the doors behind them, Maleficent locking them again with her magic, before they ran out of the school and back to Morgie.

Charming and Hearts pounded on the doors before Chloe remembered the window and used that to escape once they heard Merlin rattling the door handles and looking for his key. By the time they made it outside, the VK's were nowhere to be found.

That was because they'd gone to Hades and Killian's dorm room immediately after. (Ty hunterartemis777 for the idea!) "Holy shit! That was awesome but way too close." The dark fae exclaimed once the door was shut and locked, plopping down on her boyfriend's bed, removing her shoes beforehand.

"At least we have the book, so now we can get revenge on Pinkie-Pie for turning Uli into a flamingo." Hades said, joining the raven haired girl on his bed and she rested her head on his chest after he took off his leather jacket and boots.

"I still think you were a gorgeous flamingo, Uli." Killian restated his earlier statement.

"You do realize I can shove one of these cupcakes in your mouth while you're asleep, right, Killian?" Uliana glared at the pirate.

"Wait, if none of us will be able to open it, how are we supposed to get the recipe?" The God of the Underworld asked making the sea witch's brows furrow.

"Good question, H." She hummed, drumming her fingers on the table she was sitting at. "Any ideas?"

"Is there a freshman that we can trick? What about that Grimhilde girl? No. Belle? Eh." Jefferson rummaged through his knowledge of the freshmen students.

"Actually, babe, I think you might be the only one who has a chance of being able to open that thing. Seeing as you're a god and lived with the souls of the dead." Maleficent reasoned with the blue haired man, playing with his dog tag.

He wasn't so sure about that, especially since he'd still done some less than good things in his past two years at the school. Not that he didn't enjoy the chaos, but most people would find those things unlawful and/or cruel.

"If it doesn't work, we'll be able to cover for you until the effects wear off." Morgie consoled the taller guy as he approached the book.

Hades gave a sarcastic hum before slowly turning the skull and bracing himself to be frozen. When it didn't happen as quick as he expected, he opened his eyes to find the 'x' that was holding the skull had disappeared. He laughed in utter disbelief. "Holy shit."

"No way that actually just happened."

"It did, Hooky." Uli cheerfully replied before patting Hades on the shoulder. "Now, let's look over this recipe and get it written down so we can put the book in Red's dorm tomorrow."

"How'd you know, Mal?" He sat on his bed again, looking at Maleficent with curious eyes.
(P.S. When he says 'Mal' in this, he's talking to/about Maleficent, not their future daughter. Hope that clears any confusion in upcoming stuff!)

"It was a gut feeling. Though, I was only seventy-seven percent sure." She chuckled at his reaction to the last sentence.

"I could've been frozen and you were only seventy percent sure?" He looked at her with a feigned expression of shock and hurt. "You wound me, Mali," putting a hand over his heart, like it ached.

She smacked his arm with a laugh. "You keep that up, and I'll give you a real wound to cry about, H."

They laughed a bit more before falling asleep in each other's arms. The rest of their group quietly finished getting the recipe before leaving and/or turning the lights off to go to bed themselves.
