Kory sighs deeply as he stands in front of Colton's house. He could hear the sounds of the other jock and his friends joking and messing around. He hesitantly raises his hand to knock on the door and waits.

All sound stops on the other side of the door and soon Colton was pulling it open. Colton glares at Kory before stepping aside and motioning for him to enter the house.

Kory gulps and goes inside. He's never been inside another persons house before, other than close family. He was really nervous as he was led into the living room where the rest of Colton's friends were all sitting.

Some of them ignored him as they continued looking at their phones. Most of them moved to one side of the room to get a little farther away from. Kory sighed inwardly and sat on the couch to start the tutoring session.

It was only one hour. Right?

Wrong.

Colton wouldn't pay attention at all throughout the session and was constantly making jabs at Kory's looks and his sexuality with his friends. The overall experience was making Kory more anxious. When the hour was up, Kory quickly gathered his things and left the house. Much to the surprise and disappointment of some people.

(Colton- 3rd pov)

The friend group watches as Kory leaves the house in a rush and hear the door slam shut behind him. They all look at each other bewildered by the sudden departure of their target.

"Why'd he leave?"  Max asks curiously as he watches Kory run into his house, his backpack clutched in his hands tightly.

"I don't know. But we can see what he's doing from my room. We're window neighbors." Colton says and starts walking upstairs. The rest of the group following him.

When they get up there Colton opens the curtains and they watch as Kory sits on his bed holding his face in his hands.

"Did our jokes get to him that badly?" Jaxon asks, an almost worried tone in his voice.

"Maybe." Max replied as they continue to watch the younger boy. Kory stands up and walks into his bathroom only to come out with a cup of water and take a couple pills.

"Did we give him a headache?" Kaitlyn asks worriedly.

The others shrug and step away from the window. Max lingered for a couple more seconds and worried shine in his eyes.

"Maybe. It may have been his anti-depressants. I heard that before he moved to our school he was bullied a lot for getting outed." Jason said as he jumps on Colton's bed.

"He was?" Inquires Colton.

"Yeah. At least that's what everyone says." Max answers.

"Do you think it was our jokes that made him upset?" Kaitlyn wonders aloud.

"They did sound pretty homophobic earlier. Maybe he thought we were making fun of him." Colton says as he pulls out his phone and starts to scroll through TikTok.

" now I feel bad." Jason says. He had been the one making most of the sexuality jokes.

"Same. But let's move on from that stuff. How much of your homework did you work on tonight?" Kaitlyn asks.

"Ummm." Colton avoids eye contact with her.

"So you wasted his time?" She asks growing irritated. "Colton this is for you to get your grades up so you can pass senior year. Why aren't you trying to actually get better grades?"

"I was having fun." He says in retaliation.

"It doesn't matter. Don't waste the kids time. He was here to help you and you didn't even do anything. Maybe it's better if we stay in your room while he tutors you. That way you won't get distracted." Max says backing up Kaitlyn.

"Fine. I'll work next time." Colton grunts.

"Good."
