Poonam was stunned to hear those words he had just uttered to her, it's not true. No, she didn't cheated him. Even though she had a past with Tanishq but after marriage she had never been in contact with him.

Kaushal left the room after telling her that her lover had come to meet him and begged him to leave her. Poonam was standing numb on her place, she always feared for this day but didn't think that it would come this badly. She went towards the big window of their room and stared at moon, maybe she was trying to talk to God through Moon. "Kyu wapas yeh sab?" She just mumbled to herself.
(Why this again?)

Kaushal left room and went to terrace. He sat down on the slab made in centre of terrace and looked up at Moon, a lone tear escaped from his eyes. Why him, why everytime he has to endure pain? Why everyone lies to him? Why?

His mind made him take a tour of his childhood, he still remember that day when his Maa dying in front of him. He still remember how much she begged his father to leave him to her, he remembered that how much he cried to go back to his Maa's arms but sadly the crying boy couldn't get engulfed again in his Maa arms and that lady who was begging for her kid died while waiting for her kid to come back to her.

Flashback

Shelly David, an orphan whose was brought up by her grandmother who was taking care of her since she was 4 as her parents died in an bomb blast in kashmir. She belongs to a middle class family and as she was a bright student, she started teaching in coching to meet her expenses and at the same time was studying in college. In college she met Mahendra Mishra, the man who made her life beautiful and terrible at the same time.

Mahendra fell in love with her at first sight and proposed to her but as she was not interested in relationships and all so, she rejected him. But Mahendra keeps courting her and Shelly also started liking him as he always used to help her, he used to follow her till she reaches at her home from far. He was courting her but not making it obvious as well, because he didn't wanted her to feel uncomfortable because of him. But Shelly always knew that he's following her and she felt his intentions were pure and started falling in love with her. After 2 years, Shelly proposed him and as Mahendra was always in love with her, he agreed and that's how the beautiful love tale of Mahendra Mishra and Shelly David started but destiny again played and ruined a beautiful couple in a blink.

One day, they both decided to tell about each other's to their respective families. Shelly's Granny, Mrs. Shawn was against their relationship because of the different religions and she knew that Shelly can face problem because of it but after seeing her Granddaughter's happiness, she agreed.

But when Mahendra told about this to his parents, her mother fainted in shock and his Dad, Mr. Shailendra Mishra slapped him and ordered him to break all ties with Shelly but Mahendra didn't bulged from his decision and said that he loves her and can't imagine a life without her. But 2 weeks later, he got a news from their friend circle that Shelly married to a Christian guy and when he confronted her, so she told him that her grandma doesn't agreed to their relationship and she also thinks that it's better if she get married to a guy who belongs to her religion.

Mahendra couldn't believed that she left him for someone else, she didn't fight for them and Shailendra Mishra used this opportunity and forced him to marry Usha, the girl who was promised to be his bride since she born.

Flashback ends

Kaushal slept on terrace after crying for hours, but the woman he had left in his room wasn't able to sleep for minute because of the fear.
