Aizawa's typically nonchalant voice, usually easy to tune out, suddenly held Kirishima's full attention with just a few sentences.
"We'll be testing over this on Friday, so make sure you're prepared," Aizawa stated casually. "Or don't. It's really not my problem, but I'm not in the mood to fail any of you out of this class. This assessment is worth quite a bit of your semester grade."
Kirishima found himself hanging on Aizawa's every word, the implications sinking in with a weight that hadn't been there before. Kirishima had only transferred to U.A. a week ago, and he already found himself facing a test in just a few days that could make or break his grades? He decided that he'd speak to his teacher after class. Surely Aizawa would make an exception.
---
"No exceptions." Aizawa said abruptly, crushing Kirishima's spirit even more. "It's been a week, and you should've learned at least half the content. If there's any material you weren't here for or you lack understanding of, there are plenty of books for you to study with. This is a prestigious school after all."
Kirishima sighed. He was hoping for any leniency at all since he was new.
"If you want a tutor, Bakugou has the highest scores in the class. Whether or not he'll accept is a mystery to me but you could try. Otherwise, you could try your chances with Iida but the boy's probably too busy studying on his own."
Disheartened by Aizawa's firm stance, Kirishima shuffled his feet, processing the abrupt rejection. He really thought Aizawa might have some understanding as a new student, but he seemed unmoved.
As he left the classroom, Kirishima felt a mix of frustration and determination. He couldn't afford to fail this test—it was too early in his U.A. career. Bakugou might just be his best shot at catching up quickly, and he could get closer to him while he was at it.
Later in the Afternoon, Kirishima found himself yet again in front of Bakugou's door, hesitating to knock. It felt strangely familiar to the first time he was here, trying to apologize to the blonde for spilling his drink.
When his knuckles finally hit the door, doubt immediately flooded his head. Why would Bakugou ever agree to tutor him?
His doubtful questions were cut off when Bakugou swung open the door-
Oh my god.
"H-Hey.. Bakubro!!" Kirishima blurted, in awe of Bakugou's appearance. He had obviously just gotten out of the shower, hair dripping wet and lacking the usual explosive fluff. He ran a towel through his damp hair, strands sticking to his forehead as he regarded Kirishima with a mix of curiosity and amusement. The setting sun cast a warm glow through the dorm windows behind him, accentuating Bakugou's rugged features and highlighting the droplets of water clinging to his hair. Kirishima couldn't help but stare, captivated by the sight of Bakugou in such a raw and unguarded moment.
"What is it, Shitty-Hair? Don't come here just to waste my time," Bakugou replied after a few moments.
Kirishima swallowed nervously, feeling a warmth spread through him as he continued to take in Bakugou's appearance. The black tank top he wore clung to his muscular frame, accentuating the contours of his arms and chest—an illustration of the countless hours he dedicated to hero training.
"I, uh, just wanted to say... you look good," Kirishima managed to say, though that's not what he meant to say at all.
"What the fuck?"
"I MEAN.. uh.. your physique looks good.. do you work out? I love working out. Hell, of course you work out, look at you.. what am I saying.." Kirishima facepalmed at his own words. Obviously he didn't mean it in any other way, he just admired the guy's physique. Thats all.
