Apparently there is a golf course in the backyard, and if you ride the trail, you can get to the fair. I had to drive. The steering wheel was on the different side than I'm used to, but I adjusted easily. Dixie was wearing a casual dress with leggings and flip flops. She looked cute. I could tell she was excited. She kept talking about how amazing her friend Sophie is. Well, my first friend will be a ten year old girl. Babysteps.
I parked the golf cart, and Dixie took my hand. There were some boys a few steps away from where I pulled up at. The all looked at me, they even started whistling. They're mature. Dixie was dragging me along. People kept saying hi to her, she just waved and kept walking. "You will love Sophie! She is just like you! She likes music, but not the singing part. She also is really pretty," she said. I'm starting to get the feeling that Sophie is a little bit older than ten.
We stopped, and there was a group of girls that all looked about my age. One girl stood up and started walking over to us. She had blonde hair, tan, looked strong, good sense of style, a pretty smile, and was average height. She looked like a girl that you shouldn't mess with. I think her family was rich too, because she had a lot of designer things on. "Hey Dixie girl!" she said smiling.
"Sophie, this is Paisley, my cousin," Dixie said looked at me.
"Hi," I said to her.
"Whoa, nice accent," she said.
"Thanks," I responded.
"I've heard a lot about you. I like you. I think we will be great friends," she said directing us over to her group of friends. They all looked nice, but cool.
"This is Paisley," Sophie said to everyone, "Paisley, this is everyone."
"Hi guys," I said smiling. They all gathered around and started asking questions.
"Where are you from?"
"Wolverhampton."
"Like music?"
"Love it."
"Is it different here?"
"Very, you guys have a lot of farms."
"What were your friends like back home?"
"He was sweet, different, but then he changed, so I already like it here."
"Did you guys have a thing?"
"Thing?"
"You know, kind of together but not officially."
"No, it was more like we were siblings."
"What's his name?"
"Liam."
"Liam what?"
"Liam," I'm so going to regret this, "Payne."
"Oh my gosh! No way!"
"You've heard of him?"
"Have we?! He is in One Direction! How could you not mention that!?"
"Because he isn't who you think he is."
"He's the sweet mature one though."
"You forgot asshole."
"No way! He is adorable!"
They all were freaking out. Then I realized Dixie snuck off. I saw her with a friend. Okay, I also realized she has a cell phone, and I have her number. "So, Paisley, I heard. You sing." Sophie said looking at all of the girls, "well, let us tell you what we do."
"I'm Jessica, and I'm really good at piano. I've been to many state contests." She was tall, long brown hair, and was muscular.
"I'm Quinn, I'm really good when it comes to string instruments." Short blonde hair, average height, and has reddish lips.
"And I'm Sophie. Good with mashing songs together and just hearing if music is good or bad. My father does that type of stuff, so I guess it runs through the family." Already know her.
"I guess I'm good at singing at hearing music and I can play a lot of instruments," I said to them.
We all sat there talking forever. I could tell I made friends. They all gave me their number, and we were all going to hang out tomorrow here again. They said I was going to meet the jocks and pinks tomorrow. Can't wait, they said I'll make fun of the pinks, a lot! I think I'm going to like it here.
