I sat on a chair next to Mr. Stark as Ms. Potts swabbed our mouths. "Now we give this to Jarvis and have him compare your DNA." She explained to me with a smile. "Jarvis?" I asked curiously. "An AI I made." Mr. Stark replied vaguely. I nodded in understanding as I watched Ms. Potts upload the swabs to the computer.

A loading bar popped up. "Comparing DNA." A male AI voice spoke, I assume that's Jarvis voice. "Sorry for your loss." Mr. Stark said breaking the silence. "How did she-" He began to ask. "Breast cancer." I answered before he could finish his question. He awkwardly nodded his head. I awkwardly watched the loading bar as it went from 90% to complete.

"Comparing DNA is complete. Would you like to hear the results?" Jarvis asked.

"Yeah lay it on me." Mr. Stark said as he crossed his legs.

"The DNA for Mr. Stark and (Y/n) are a match. They are father and child." Jarvis spoke.

I stared at the computer screen in shock. "I have a dad..?" My voice cracked. I looked at Ms. Potts who had a sad smile on her face then I looked at Mr. Stark. He stared at the screen deep in thought as he rubbed his face with his hand. I was about to ask him if he was ok and what should we do but he stood up. He took a step so he was now in front of me, staring at me he held out his hand. "Welcome to the Stark family." He said.

I smiled big and stood up quickly shaking his hand. "Thank you so much for taking me in. I promise I'll do anything to live up to your expectations." I said. My voice cracked and my eyes teared up from joy. My fear of being homeless was now gone. "Just don't cause any trouble." He said as he avoided eye contact. "Mr. Stark isn't the best with affection." Ms. Potts piped in.

He turned around to object but waved her off. "Whatever just go show the kid around." He said shooing us. "(Y/n)." I spoke meekly. "My name is (Y/n)." I added. "(Y/n), right." He said as he pushed us out of his workshop. I looked at Ms. Potts. "I think he's still in shock about having a kid he didn't know about." I told her. Although it was more to comfort myself than it was to spark a conversation with her.

She gave me a comforting smile as she gave me a tour of the building. She explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. 'I think I'm going to like her a lot.' I thought to myself as I followed her. 'I mean, I already do..ah, whatever..I know what I mean.' I subconsciously shrugged at my internal conversation.

Ms. Potts led me to a door that was one of few in the hallway. "This is your room." She said smiling as she placed her hand on the doorknob. "What're the other doors?" I asked looking at the other doors in question. "Oh, those are for the Avengers. Mr. Stark thought it'd be best to have you on the same floor in case you needed help." She said with a smile. I nodded watching her look back at the door. She opened the door and took a step back.

She motioned me to go in and check my new room out. I looked at her surprised and then walked into my new room. "This is huge..." I mumbled in shock as I slowly spun around taking everything in. "If you like we could give you a smaller room." Ms. Potts said taking a step into the room. I looked at her and shook my head. "No no, it's ok. I just never seen a bedroom this big before." I said. "I like it." I added with a smile.

She smiled and pulled out her clipboard as she quickly skimmed it. "We can have some of our Avengers help you move in today." I looked at her surprised. "Are you sure? I don't want to inconvenience them." I said waving my hands to show I didn't want to be a bother. "It won't be an inconvenience at all. You're part of the family now." She said with a smile.

I hesitantly agreed realizing that they would be a huge help and I have to get to know them since I'll be living with them. "Wonderful, I'll let you get familiar with your room and I'll inform the others." Ms. Potts smiled before leaving me alone in my new room. I looked around my room and got to know it. It had a high ceiling, one big window that had a nice view of the city, a small bathroom, and was styled in a bland modern white aesthetic.

"I'll have to redecorate..." I mumbled.

I heard a knock on my door so I quickly opened it. "Welcome to the family!" Captain America beamed happily. "Th-thank you." I said surprised. "We're here to help you move." Black Widow said with a smile. When we got to my apartment complex the pile of free stuff I laid out was gone. I led them to my apartment and I told them which boxes we were keeping and which ones we were getting rid of. And just to be safe, I marked each box with a 'keep' or a 'donate.'

We brought all the boxes down and into the car we came in. While we were taking everything to the car some of the Avengers would strike up some small talk with me. The small talk at first was awkward for all of us. Trying to connect the dots between my parents. But once we were past that it was a pleasant conversation. The Avengers are really nice people. Right before I got into the car I remembered something. "I'll be right back I forgot a box!" I said before quickly running back inside.

They let out a quick "ok!" Or a "don't take too long!" I made it to my apartment and began my search for the last box. "I remember seeing it..." I mumbled to myself as I kept up my search. "Looking for this?" I heard a voice call out behind me. I turned around startled and saw it was Spiderman. I let out a sigh of relief as I held my chest. "You were such a cute little kid." He snickers as he holds up the child photo of me. Inside the box were my childhood photos or trip photos.

"Give me those!" I said blushing trying to take the box from him.

He dodged me and pulled out another one and looked at it. "Where are you going?" He asked as I yanked the box from his hands. "I'm moving out because I'm being evicted. Why are you here?" I said changing the subject. I tried taking the photo of me from his hands but he only lifted it above his head out of my reach. "I came here to make sure you were holding up alright." He said as he eventually handed me my photo back.

"I'm fine, you were right. About what you told me on the roof that day."

"Well, I hope you continue to get better." He holds a thumbs up. "So where are you going?" He asks.

"Why are you so interested?" I teased.

"I'm just trying to do my job. Make sure everyone's alright. Friendly neighborhood Spiderman stuff."

'He seems a little embarrassed.' I thought to myself. "I'll be fine, I'm moving in with my dad." I answered his previous question. I was going to ask him why he seemed so interested in my situation but there were cop sirens blaring in the distance. I looked out the window and saw three cop cars fly down the street. I looked over and saw Spiderman start to climb out the window. He stopped and looked at me, held up a peace sign, and spoke. "I got some bad guy ass to kick." I giggled and nodded my head. "Good luck." I then watched him leave.
