I finished putting up my last decoration in my room. I walked into the middle of my room and slowly spun around taking everything in. I decided it was good and needed no more improvements. It was no longer a bland modern white aesthetic and now had character to it. I tried to make it look like my old room as much as possible with some of the improvements I've always wanted.

I heard a knock on my door so I quickly opened my door. There on the other side was Ms. Potts holding her clipboard to her chest like she's done since I met her yesterday. "You're father would like to see you in his workshop." She said smiling at the word 'father.' I couldn't help but smile back and nod my head. I left my room with her and she led me to his workshop given that I didn't know my way around just yet.

We walked into his workshop and saw him at a desk with a computer. He adjusted his computer glasses as he looked up at us. "I was thinking of your education. What grade are you in?" He asked abruptly. "Oh uhm..I'm a senior in high school." I said caught a little off guard. "Perfect, I'll see if we can find a teacher for you." He said as he looked back down at his computer. "Could I please go to school rather than be home-schooled?" I asked. Just by asking that I felt like I had crossed a line.

He looked up at me with a cocked brow. "You are aware once word gets out of who you are there will be villains trying to take you." He said as if I was making a bad choice. "I know.. which is why I was thinking maybe I can learn some self-defense?" I said almost as if it was a question. "Self-defense won't do much but I'll see if I can pull some strings and make it possible." He said as he crossed his arms looking at me and then back at his computer.

He scheduled me to have self-defense classes from black widow and that I'll be going to a specific public high school with Happy as my chauffeur. I agreed to everything he said just happy I could finish high school and learn self-defense. Especially because I'll be learning self-defense from none other than black widow, someone who's arguably the best at hand-to-hand combat. 'I want to be as helpful as possible. I don't want to burden him.' I thought to myself.

It was the next day and it just so happened to be my first day at my new high school. I never got an answer as to why I had to switch school's so late into the year but I didn't mind. I showered, got dressed, anything I needed to get myself ready I did. Mr. Stark, well, Dad, got all of my needed school supplies bought and delivered last night. I went to ground level after saying goodbye to everyone, including the Avengers. I met up with Happy who stood in front of the car looking at his watch. However, it was an ordinary car.

"Ah right on time. It's refreshing to not rush your father for once."

"Yeah well, I was taught to be respectful." I joked.

Happy chuckled and opened the door for me. I hopped in after thanking him. We got to the school a couple of minutes before the first bell. I placed my hand on the door handle and looked at Happy. "I'm nervous. What if I embarrass myself somehow?" I asked worriedly. "You'll be fine, you're as smart as your father. Besides, new kids always get someone to show them around." Happy said trying to reassure me.

I hesitantly nodded, mumbled a weak and nervous 'ok', and then left the car. I walked into the school and to the main office. I rang their bell and waited for someone to come to the front desk. A lady came scrambling to the desk clearly drowning in her work. "Hello? Hiii are you the new kid?" She asked as she flipped through papers. "Yes, I am." I said as I watched her flip through some more papers.

She then handed me some papers and handed a sticky note to one of the staff next to her. The staff member proceeded to read it as they were connected to the school's PA system. The lady who handed me my papers explained each paper to me. How the school worked, the school schedule, my class schedule, and anything I needed to know. "Oh and here he is now. This is Peter Parker, he'll be the student who shows you the ropes." She said with a smile.

I turned around and saw a boy my age walk into the office. He smiled as if he knew me but it quickly changed to an awkward smile. 'Does he know me?' I asked myself curious. "Alright, you two get to class now." The lady said with a smile as she shooed us out. I followed Peter out of the office and into the semi-crowded hallway. 'After looking at him for a little while now I have to admit...he's really cute.' I thought to myself.

He led me to my locker and leaned against the lockers looking at me. "Do you know how to unlock your locker?" He asked referring to the lock on the locker. I nodded my head and used my locker combination to unlock my locker. 'First try.' I smiled to myself as the locker unlocked. "I never got your name by the way." He said as he crossed his arms. "I'm (Y/n)." I said holding my hand out for him to shake.

He looked at my hand, silently chuckled then shook my hand. "Peter." He said with a smile. I placed all the books I didn't need into my locker and held the one I needed in my arms against my chest. I closed my locker, leaned against the locker imitating Peter, and looked at him. "Have we met before?" I asked curiously. His eyes widened for a split second until he regained his cool, he shook his head no as he stopped leaning against the locker. "No, no we haven't." He said as he cleared his throat.

'Then why is his voice so familiar and why is he acting so weird?' I thought to myself.

He quickly opened the locker next to me and grabbed a book. "I take it that's your locker?" I asked no longer leaning on my locker. I peeked in his locker and saw a bunch of Star Wars and other nerdy things. "Yeah. What are your classes? I can show you where they are." He offered. "Well, I mean, I have to considering I was assigned to. But not that I don't want to! I do-" He quickly began to ramble trying to save himself from being misunderstood.

"It's ok, I knew what you meant." I laughed.

He gave me an awkward smile. He then gently took the papers from my hand after asking for them. He read over them and chuckled. "What's so funny?" I asked pretending to be offended. "Nothing, we just have all our classes together." He said giving me my schedule back. "They probably did that so I can learn how the school works faster." I said.

Throughout the school day, I followed my guide, Peter, around the school. Each class went by smoothly and was boring. I often found myself doodling sketches or reading ahead in our class-assigned book for English class. "What are you drawing?" I heard Peter whisper. I looked up and saw him turned around in his seat to face me since he sat at the desk in front of me. Resting his arms on the back of his seat he was waiting for my reply.

"Oh uhm...Spiderman.." I whispered meekly.

'God I feel like some dumb fan girl. But I'm not even a fan girl..' I thought to myself. 'Why have my interactions with Spiderman been so weird anyway? Is he like this with all of his damsels in distress? Caring, sarcastic, teasing?' I was lost in thought for the millionth time today.

I was brought back to reality when I heard a quiet chuckle. My eyes flicked up from the drawing to him. He laughed at me, why? "Why are you laughing?" I asked pretending to be offended. He shook his head and was going to reply but the teacher had caught Peter. "Eyes to the front of the class please." The teacher spoke. Peter apologized to the teacher and faced the front of the class. It was my turn to quietly giggle.
