"No problem. Love you." He responds.
"Love you too." I end the call and hear my mom's voice.
"Aiya you better be ready! Neisha should be here any minute to size you up." She calls out while coming downstairs as if she couldn't wait until she got down here.
"I am, just got off the phone with your brother." I respond matter of factly and she scoffs.
"Oh yeah?" She finally comes into the living room and I nod.
"Yeah. He said he gone give me some money for prom 'cause he gave Rome some." I inform and she raises her eyebrows, holding her hand up and I connect my hand to it to create a high-five.
There's a knock on the door and we both assume who it is. She goes to get the door and some black lady walks in.
"Neish, this is my oldest daughter Aiya'Lei. She's sixteen and it isn't her OFFICIAL prom but it is her boyfriend's prom." She tells her and I nod, my mom leaves the two of us alone in the living room.
"Hi." I smile and wave shyly.
"Hey girl, you are so pretty with your lil coke bottle shape." She compliments and I chuckle.
"Thank you." She starts to pull out lil tools and some measuring tape. Since I already have on tight fitting clothes it'll be easy for her to get my actual measurements.
"So, what kind of dress were you looking for?" She starts to size me up, I try my best to stand as still as possible.
"Well.." I look around in thought. Damn I need my phone, gotta look at my pinterest board for inspiration.
"Definitely something long. Nothing too flashy since it isn't my prom but nothing too basic." I shrug a shoulder and she nods her head.
"No sleeves, I want the strapless look...Black for the color. Um.."

"What heels you gonna wear?" Khalil questions as I drop some ice cubes into my cup while I allow the water to get cold.
