⚫CHAPTER 31⚫

The silence of the hall is heavily disturbed by the tensed duo of Aarav and Reeva for the chaos created by their friends a few minutes ago.

Aarav is seated on the sofa with his head down, his feet tapping impatiently on the floor. Reeva keeps storming all around the hall with hefty steps and fidgeting fingers. Her lips kept moving and giving whispering curses.

After a long eternal silence, two pairs of steps moved down revealing Rudra and Vinnie. Vinnie had changed into a new shirt and Rudra's eyes never left her face. His hands trailed to herself grabbing her attention towards him. He intertwined his hands with her, his brown pair of eyes continued to shower love on her.

Vinnie's lips curled up into a blushing smile and she immediately looked down, hiding her face.

"Look forward or you'll fall." Vinnie whispered looking at his eyes.
"It's okay. Falling for you never hurts." Rudra winked at her and she smacked his arm pursing her lips.

"Seriously, you'll hurt yourself like this."
"It's fine as long as you're there to treat my wounds." Rudra squeezed her hands and she blushed terribly.

Reaching down the stairs, finally Vinnie grabbed his jaw and turned to the front and the view came before them was pretty awkward.

Rudra reluctantly cleared his throat gaining the thirsty attention of the duo at the very first place. Reeva stood there with frozen physique and cold eyeballs stuck at both of them. Aarav hastily stood up.
Reeva's eyes groomed upon Vinnie's attire as she wasn't in the same top anymore she was previously in.

Both of them shared looks.
"Are you thinking the same as mine??" Reeva whispered in Aarav's ears.

"Previous one was yellow right?" He uttered back.
"And this one is blue."
"What must have happened??" Reeva spoke in his ears all nonchalantly but as their eyes met, they doubled up at their own thoughts and immediately moved away from each other.

"Is.... ev-everything alright??"    Aarav broke the ice.

The couple looked at each other for a moment and giggled out into laughter.
The tensed duo frowned at  each other in bewilderment.
"Are you both drunk??"   Reeva questioned in an irritated tone.
Vinnie and Rudra pulled up their intertwined hands to their sight in order to clear the confusion.

Soon their frowned eyebrows straightened and eyes grew wide in gladness and excitement.
"REALLY!!!??"   They screamed in union.

The opposite couple nodded and Reeva just slammed her palms on her widely parted lips and started jumping.
"Oh my god!!"

In no time, both of them rushed to their respective friends and merged into their firm embrace.
"I'm so so soooo happy for you Vinnie."
Vinnie chuckled.
"Yeah, after all you won't be the only one to suck now."
The besties laughed at the joke.

"Congrats Boss!!" Aarav spoke up gladly.
"Boss?????"  
The girls broke their hug at once and spoke off in confusion.

That's when the guys realised what slipped his tongue.
Rudra got dangerously nervous and bite his inner cheek.
"Game over!!"   he murmured with frozen heart.
Aarav slapped himself internally for his foolishness.
"Ahhh.....y-yahh,.. B-Boss. Buddy, Dude, Bro, Man,.... Brat!! Aren't they common in all friendships??"  
He smiled nervously trying to manage.
The girls sighed in relief and left holding each others' hands.

The boys finally broke the hug.
"Why do you want to ruin my life, you dumb ass!!???" Rudra scolded Aarav.
"S-Sorry Boss..."   Aarav curled up in pity.
"Damn your tongue!! Don't call me Boss from now on. Call me Rutesh, got it???"
