I didn't know how it happened but Leon had managed to push me to the bathroom, force me into the dress he had chosen, do my hair and make-up and hop me into his car, all in less than 20 minutes, while preparing himself.

Although I didn't want to attend this 'prestigious' dinner, I knew best than to argue with my brother on this. I was too tired, so I went along with the plan he'd made. Especially when I assumed he was just trying to take me out of the apartment.

"So what's up with this dinner, where are we going?" I asked after 15 minutes of listening to Leon sing or rather scream to 'lose yourself' by Eminem blasting through the speakers as he drove. We'd taken his car, since mine was still park at the bistro where I had made a show of myself the day before. Just the thought of it made me cringe.

"The dinner is at Nathan's. His elder sister's finally back in town after years of absence and his family decided to prepare a little surprise dinner party for the occasion." Leon said his eyes on the road as he drove. He looked handsome in his dark green suit. It gave him such an air of maturity and manhood. If only that was true.

"Oh, I didn't know Nathan had another sister." I said, quite surprised because I had known the boy for a long time and he'd never mentioned his other sister.

"He doesn't talk of her much seeing as she is mostly never around. Meg travels a lot on behalf of the humanitarian organizations she works with but she always visits regularly although not for longer periods of time." Leon said as he maneuvered the car into a driveway, filled with gigantic mansions and manors.

It was obvious that the people who lived and owned these houses were excessively rich. Even with all of my share of dad's inheritance and what I possessed as savings, I was sure it could not afford a single property on this lane. This part of the city was reserved for the multibillionaires, wealthy business men and families who came from old money. If this dinner party was to take place in one of these mansions, then I certainly didn't mind tagging along.

"So you've already met her, this Meg." I said rather than asked, as I looked through the car screen as we drove pass the very impressive century's old manors and architecturally designed mansions. I was completed amazed by the outside decors of the building.

"Of course, she's my best friend's sister after all and we've kind of become friends too. She's really cool, I think you'll like her." I nodded absentmindedly, mostly interested in the scenery of this part of the town.

"We're here" he said, referring to a white mansion, not nearly as big as the others I had seen but fairly impressive. I still couldn't afford a house like this if I wanted.

The mansion stood in a middle of a tattered path the led to the front entrance of the building, like what we usually see in five star hotels. The property was separated from others by beautiful flowery plants and fruit trees. It also had a big water fountain at the corner of where was a playground for the kids and a covered parking lot. The garden was well kept and clean, obviously.

Apparently, there were two parking lots in this property, the second being at the back. The area was parked with different models of cars. I knew these people were rich but did they really need these cars. It looked like we were in the parking lot of a supermarket, there were just too many cars.
