Pilot - part 1

"Sam!" A young woman by the name of Jess comes around a corner; she is wearing a sexy nurse costume and adjusting her hat. The photo of Mary and John from earlier is on the dresser. "Get a move on, would you? We were supposed to be there like fifteen minutes ago" Jess walks off "Sam! You coming or what?"

"Oh, she's pretty!" Ginny says, causing a chain of agreements to go across the hall.

Rose looks over to Sam and sees him staring at Jess, not taking his eyes off of her. Rose can see tears prickling at the corner of his eyes, making her frown. She looks over at Castiel and nods her head at her brother. He looks over at him and then back at Rose nodding his head as if saying 'go over there'. She smiles at him but it doesn't reach her eyes.

She stands up and sits in the empty seat beside Sam and grabs his hand. He looks down at her to see her give him a small smile while squeezing his hand. He smiles back at her but only slightly before turning back to the screen.

A young man by the name of Sam Winchester pokes his head around the corner. He's wearing jeans and three shirts, not a costume. "Do I have to?"

"Yes! It'll be fun" Sam comes into the room "And where's your costume?"

Sam laughs. "You know how I feel about Halloween."

"How can someone not like Halloween. It's the best holiday that there is." Sirius said, causing the Weasley twins and James to agree with him.

"We don't have fond memories of Halloween and we've never really experienced it either." Rose said, speaking for the Winchesters and Castiel.

Everyone in the hall looked at the four of them with their mouths open in shock after Rose mentioned that they never got to experience Halloween.

"WHAT!!!" James, Harry, Sirius and the Weasley twins shout.

"We were either too busy on a hunt or we just forgot. Our dad also didn't take us anywhere when we were kids so we had to improvise when we were young." Dean said for Rose.

"Alright, let's settle down, after this is over we can discuss more on the matter of Halloween." Dumbledore says, trying to calm everyone down.

Everyone settles back in their seats but Lily and James face each other with a concerned look on their face, thinking the same thing, 'If she missed out on Halloween then what else did she miss out on?'

The bar is decorated for Halloween. Someone pours someone else a shot. Everyone is in costume. Jess raises a glass, as a young man in a ghoul costume, Luis, comes up to the table where Sam and Jess are. Sam is still not in costume.

"So, here's to Sam and his awesome LSAT victory" Jess smiles at her boyfriend, and Sam looks down embarrassed.

"All right, all right, it's not that big a deal" Jess, Sam, and Luis clink glasses.

"Yes, he acts all humble, but he scored one seventy-four" Luis drinks his shot, and so does Sam.

"What does that mean?" Arthur asks.

"It's a score that I got from an exam, which determines whether I can get into Law school or not." Sam says, answering the question.

"Is that good!" Luis wonders.

"Scary good" Jess drinks.

"So, there you go. You are a first-round draft pick. You can go to any law school you want!" Luis sits next to Sam.

"I got an interview here. Monday. If it goes okay, I think I got a shot at a full ride next year."

"Hey. It's going to go great" Jess says and takes Sam's hands into hers.
