Forgotten Things

Chapter 16 guys!! Google docs showes me that I have 19.041 words right now and I think that is some nice work. Have fun with this chapter (no it does not have 19k words) also the picture follows soon (I hope)

The group came past a small lake filled with the glowing light blue and cyan water. Kacy then stopped in front of it and kneeled down. She used her hands to scoop out a bit of the water and looked at it. "Guys... I think the water shows you memories you love..." She called to the others with a confused but also happy voice. 

Mateo sat down next to her and did the same. He saw his father, his mother, Izzie and himself in it, playing on the sofa together. When he looked up again everyone was doing this, looking into the water to see. "I don't think it shows you memories you love, but something you miss..." "You think so, Mateo?" Izzie then asks him. "Yeah... Because I see mom and dad, with us, playing on the sofa... I miss that time..." "I also see mom..." Izzie said and smiled sadly. 

A tear ran down her cheeks and fell into the little puddle of water in her hands when it suddenly began glowing even stronger. A drop began floating out of her hands and into the middle of the lake, then another and another. As Izzie's hands were completely empty it began with the water in the hands of the rest of them too. It all floated together in the middle of the lake, when suddenly it took the shape of a person. The surface of the lake then became darker and the person made of water sank down to it. 

"Wait... what happened?" the person said in an angelic male voice and it echoed through the realm. The friends backed away until the person said "You don't have to be scared. I am friendly..." he held his hand out as if he wanted to grab them and on his face appeared sadness. The man fell onto his knees and asked sadly "Why is everyone always scared of me?..." Kacy then came back to the edge of the lake and touched the water surface. It was solid but still acted like a liquid. 

She took a step onto it not sure if it would support her, but it did. Kacy went over to the man and shortly before she arrived she looked back and symbolised her friends to follow her. They did and moments later they were all on the lake. "We aren't scared of you." Kacy then said in a calm and kind voice to the man, who then looked up to her with a small smile on his face. "Thank you." he whispered and stood up. "What brings you to my lake?" he asked the friends with a confused look. "We kinda came here by accident..." Kacy told him and then continued "With... this." She got the spear from her back and showed it to the man, who screamed and jumped in fear. 

He then quickly hid behind Mateo who was standing opposite of Kacy. "It's okay.. Why are you so scared of the spear?" Cooper then asked him. "Yeah, and who even are you?" Izzie put in now. "First of all, that thing is dangerous!" He said, pointing at the spear over Mateo's shoulder. "And second of all, where did you get that?!" he yelled at the group. "I stole it from the Night Hunter." Kacy replied to him after which he made a confused face and asked "The who? This is the Nightmares Fang's favourite weapon! Whoever steals it from him is as good as dead!" "Wait... you don't know the Night Hunter? How long have you been in this lake?" Logan asked him while laughing at him. 

"I don't know... which year is it? 2006?" "Yeah buddy... you might wanna add 18 years to that and you got it." Logan told him. "18?! What?? The night bureau forgot to free me?... Again?" he sighted sadly. "Well I guess no one needs anything from good ol' Dreamsaver anymore... James was right... People don't want to recall the things they miss..." the Dreamsaver walked away slowly. "Wait... James?" "Not every guy that is named James is Megan's father Mateo!" Cooper almost yelled at him. "Megan?" The Dreamsaver turned around, "He had a daughter named so... he always came here to see how she was doing in her dreams. But one day he didn't and not the next and the day after that... And never since... You know her?" "I do." Mateo told him with hope in his face. "Maybe you can help us find out about where James is right now. You seem to have known him pretty well." 

"I don't think that is a good idea Mateo. I like how you wanna save the father of your friend but I don't think that is that clever.." Kacy told him with a sad face. "Dreamsaver, what memories have you here towards James?" Mateo asked him just to be told "That is not how it works, young dreamchaser... I save dreams that are about to get forgotten, moments that are precarious to you. But only the person themself can see them... I am sorry to tell you that.. The most I can do is tell you how the person is doing in the dreamworld and where approximately they are." 

"That is good too. How is James and where is he?" Mateo asked a little harshly. The Dreamsaver then said "You all better go off the lake." and as soon as they were on the grass again the Dreamsaver began to float and the water underneath him became a liquid again. It now started flowing in circles, faster and faster with each round. "James is... far away... He is sick but alive... barely... and he is somewhere around the... Grim Realm!" The water became slower and the Dreamsaver asked the friends confused "What is James doing in the Grim Realm? Isn't that the place where the Nightmare King was banned?" he asked and the friends looked at each other confused. 

"Dreamsaver, can you tell me if a friend of mine is asleep again? They woke up earlier from a nightmare.." Mateo asked the man made of water now "Sure" he replied. Mateo was so focused on the Dreamsaver that he didn't realise how his friends moved away a little. "How is the name of the person?" "Megan... James' daughter.." he replied and the Dreamsaver began the thing with the water again. "Hmm... she is asleep... but she is close... very close to us..." "Close? What do you mean?" Mateo asked him, confused, since there was no one else here except him and his friends. "Do you know all your friends here in the wake world?" The Dreamsaver then asked him sternly. Mateo thought for a moment before realising. "Kacy... She is the only one I don't know personally..." "If I were you, I would ask her about it... Good luck young Dreamchaser but my time is over. Come back when you can." The Dreamsaver said and disappeared into the lake again. 

It started glowing lighter again and Mateo went over to his friends. "Hey uh.. Kacy... Why don't... you tell us your real name.." Kacy then looked down and began "I wanted to tell you.. I promise... But I was scared of how you would react.." "Were the nightmares lies?" Mateo asked her almost coldly. "No... they are real..." Kacy replied. "Wait... let me get this straight.. You were Megan, the entire time??!" Izzie asked, highly confused. "I was.. and I am very sorry that I lied to you." "I knew it!" Logan suddenly yells into the group. "Remember what I said?? I said 'I thought she was Megan'!" he did a little victory dance and suddenly vanished into golden sand. "Did he just... dance himself awake?" was all Izzie could say, still in shock.
