Phantom Duels

The theater was relatively empty when the Sakaki family arrived, as it was late morning on a Wednesday. Most people were at work or school at the moment. But there were a few people in the theater, all of them starry-eyed when they saw the Sakakis.

"So, what movie should we see?" Yusho asked his boys. Yuya said, "I'm fine with whatever, as long as I get popcorn!"

Zarc chuckled. "Weeell, I don't think you're fine with anything, Yuya! We all know you and Yuri wouldn't be okay with watching Click! or any of the other horror movies here!"

Yuri's face flushed and he looked away with a huff. It was true, he and Yuya were both terrified of horror movies, but Yuri was too proud to admit it out loud. But his family knew very well that he would start sobbing halfway through a horror movie from how scared he was.

Yuya considered for a moment then conceded, "Yeah, you're right. I'm fine with anything else though!"

"Why don't we watch an action movie?" Yugo asked excitedly. But before anyone else could respond, Yuto gasped. "Guys, the new Phantom Duels movie is here! We gotta see it!"

"What? No way! It's playing?" Yuri, Yugo, Yuya, and Zarc all crowded around the movie listings board. Phantom Duels was the Sakaki boys' favorite movie series. Yuri had discovered the book series first, and had insisted on dragging his whole family to the theater the moment the first book was made into a movie. His brothers had only agreed to watch the movie with him because they could see how excited he'd been (although he had tried to hide it, but he was just too excited to succeed). They had all fallen in love with Phantom Duels upon seeing the first movie, and they had even had Yuri read the books to them later.

"Yeah! Let's watch Phantom Duels!" Zarc said eagerly. His brothers all voiced their assent and turned to their father eagerly. Yusho chuckled and went to the ticket window. "Six tickets to Phantom Duels!" he said. His boys all cheered and hugged him. Yusho hugged them back and said, "Why don't you boys order your snacks before we head into the viewing room!"

"Yay!" Yuya cheered. "Popcorn!"
