"Mommy how would they find their tears? If there are thousands of them in the cave how would they possibly be able to find it?"
"Legend has it, Jacob, that when a dragon goes in search of its tear the stone comes to life." Using my Fey magic, I created an image of gold dust that showed a Tear shining a little and pulsating. "Inside the hatchling's head the stone calls out to it and there's this pull. It leads the hatchlings straight to the tear." The dust picture changed, the Tear was still and dull. "In history there have been cases where a dragon reported that instead of the pull that most dragons feel, their Tear glowed so bright that they could see it, even from the darkest corner." The Tear in the dust started to shine until it was so bright that, poof! The dust returned to normal and floated back to it's place on the mantle by the fire.
"So how did the twin hatchlings find their Tears?"
"My father, Grandpa Labien, told me that his dragon said that his Tear had the pull but when he got close to it, it started to glow. The same with Aunt Leila's Dragon."

The twin hatchlings entered one at at time, the female, Kaelo, first. Once the tunnel got wide enough she waited until her brother, Kaiden, was by her side before she continued into the cave. The cave opened up and they saw the wall splitting the cave in half. The interior of the cave was filled with Tears. Kaelo looked to her brother on her left and he nodded at her. She crossed in front of him and went into the half of the cave that was filled with light while he went to the half that was filled with darkness.
Kaiden followed the path as well as he could in the darkness. It wasn't before long he felt this pulsating vibration in his head. The further into the cave he went the brighter the cave got. Soon the pulsating became a noise, which then became a voice. It called to him, led him through the maze of stones that would belong to other dragons. The voice led him to a mound of rock, Tears surrounding the base but the further up the rock you looked you could see that no Tears decorated it's sides. The top of the rock seemed to be illuminated by a small light and as Kaiden reached the base of the rock he could see no source for the light. The voice was leading up the rock so Kaiden carefully crawled up the rock until he reached the top. The top looked as if it had been carved out into the shape of a bowl. There, nestled together, were four Tears.
They were all a different color, one black, another green, beside that a red one, and last but not least a blue. But it was none of these Tears that filled with all of his un-shed Tears like the Elder Fieren had said. But the voice insisted it was there!
Look deeper!! The voice cried out.
Obeying it, Kaiden looked at all the tears and saw that, if you looked hard enough through the center of one, you could see just the faintest outline of something behind the blue Tear. He took the stone and shifted it's position, revealing part of a white Tear. The glow of that small part of the white Tear shone through the opening Kaiden had made and illuminated a section of the dark cave, bouncing of the side of every Tear it touched. Quickly, he moved the green and red Tears to rest by the blue and cradled the white stone in his paws. It was shining as bright as sunlight on new-fallen snow.
"Give my your Tears, and I shall give you life" As the voice spoke in Kaiden's head his mouth had been moving with the words, and then the voice shifted from his mind to his mouth and became Kaiden's voice.
Suddenly, the center of the stone filled with a magnificent blue liquid, flowing from the tip of the Tear and pooling in the bottom until it was completely full. That's when Kaiden knew.
