One night, the rain is coming down hard and storm clouds gather overhead. Despite their unease, the cats of MossyClan go to sleep as usual.

They are woken by water from the nearby lake flooding the hollow.

In the panic and chaos, Wavepaw hits her head on the doorway of the apprentice den trying to escape and falls unconscious. She drowns.

Despite knowing something like this was probably coming, Firesong can't help but struggle to escape as water pours in through the gaps in the walls of the medicine den. Despite the best efforts of Lilytail to pull him out, the last thing he sees is her green eyes staring from her vantage point above the water before he slips under and everything goes dark.

Snarlingpaw tries to swim down to the elders den to help Harmonyleaf escape, not realising she's already gotten out of camp with some of the others. They escape with their life but have a broken leg and will be out of action until it's healed.

Prey and herbs are washed away or rendered useless in the flood. -10 prey and -11 herbs.

As devastating as this may seem, it could be worse- thanks to Speckledstar's preparations, meaning less water got into camp, several things did not happen that were intended to:

Oakclaw DID NOT drown.
Emberpaw DID NOT break his back.
Pebblespeck DID NOT drown.
Speckledstar DID NOT lose a life.
Nectarnose DID NOT hurt his front right leg so bad it needed to be amputated.

(This moon was meant to be SO MUCH worse so shoutout to ffaeerie for suggesting a manner of reinforcing camp 🙏)
