"...she was a whole other level of pretty..."

___

━━AURORA STARK was regretting her decision to join the Midtown Tigers cheerleading team as her aching muscles relaxed under the cold shower water. Grace had skipped practice again, calling in sick for the day and leaving Rory to suffer through a grueling practice alone, and that too, to suffer through her achy muscles alone.

The locker room was only filled with her and two others, both on the team as well, and much to their dismay, there was no steam rushing out of the showers from any of the girls.

Because ━according to Science━ a cold shower does wonders for any micro-tears in your muscles.

   Weren't they just the luckiest?

Nevertheless, Aurora endured the icy water, rinsing away all her grime and sweat into the drain until it got too much to bear, and she stepped out in her towel. Her hair had gotten partially wet from the splashes of water bouncing off the shower walls, so a towel rested on her head too as she walked towards her locker.

Only one other shower was still occupied when she'd finished getting herself dressed in her two-colour denim outfit, ━consisting of light and dark blue denim bell-bottom pants, a mini jacket in the same dual tones, and a white top under it. She placed her bracelet (the same one she'd gotten from Tony when she was younger) carefully on her wrist. Her shoes were her dark blue-heeled boots that she'd gotten as a present from her dad.

He always was a fashionista when it came to her, even more than her mother was sometimes. He did always manage to put a smile on her face, though, when he would get something he knew she'd like.

Her parents had turned into a competition at some point in her life, so now she got separate presents from them if they got her clothes, and whoever got something she one hundred percent loved, they'd get to decide where and when the next holiday the three of them took would be. It had become some sort of tradition ━one that hadn't stopped even when her parents took their break.

Rory grabbed her claw clip and placed her hair into a messy pony that she'd definitely need to brush out when she got home. She closed her locker, grabbed her bag, and made her way to Liz and Betty.

A text from Grace brought a smile to her face as she walked through the halls, and a laugh bubbled from her throat when she saw it had been a meme of the two girls from when they were younger. It seemed Gracie was getting bored at home alone and had way too much time on her hands if she'd resorted to making memes.

Catching up to Liz and Betty was easy ━Liz had texted her to let her know where to find them━ and the only thing that slowed her down was stopping to say hi to people before continuing on. Unfortunately, it made it so that once Rory had caught up to the two, the bell rang to let them know class was about to start, and she had to split off with Betty to rush to Chemistry. Leaving Liz with only a quick kiss on the cheek as both a "hello" and "see you later!"
