Part 1

Khanna Company
Open plan office layout.
A man is seen working his butt off,out of the blue,his phone rings,he usually ignores his phone in work hours but today he has a gut feeling it's urgent,he takes the phone.

It's Jia.

"Hey sir.....it's time.....we are heading to city hospital," Jia said.
"Okay.....take care of her......am coming," Tej replied.

He disconnected the call.

He left his work and arranged his desk and off he went.

Other employees,could see the tension he had.

They tried asking him questions but he brushed they off and ignored them.

He went to his boss office.

He knocked.

"Come in," said Khanna.

"Hello sir," Tej greeted.

"Hello Tej....do want pleasantries do I owe you this visit?" Khanna asked.

"Well the think sir is....my wife is in labor.....I was wondering if you could release me earlier today....so that I can go and be with her....if that's fine with you," Tej requested.

"Tej.....am human.....you may go and be with your wife......you've been one of my best employees.....if this is least I can do for you....then go.....be sure to inform me when it's all over," Khanna replied.

"Thank you sir......I promise that I'll compensate my work as soon as all this is over and done," Tej replied leaving.

He closed the door behind him.

He went to the back gate to avoid distracting his colleagues with his work.

He was out of the company building and was at the road.

Fortunately,a rickshaw passed by,he boarded it and told the driver off to City Hospital.

Although he was fortunate in getting a cab,he wasn't fortunate in going to his destination,there was a huge traffic jam on the road.

His phone was ringing it was Jia.

"Hello Jia," Tej said.

"Hi sir.....where are you....we've arrived," Jia explained.

"Am on my way....may I speak to my wife please," Tej requested.

"Okay.....Miss Jhanvi....take the call....it's sir," Jia replied.

"Hello Tej....where on earth are you...am getting scared?" Jhanvi asked.

"Don't be scared honey...am on my way coming....before you know it...I'll be there," Tej replied.

City Hospital.
"Jhanvi Kapoor......you may go now....the doctor and nurses are ready to tend to you," Receptionist said.

"Okay," Jhanvi replied.

"Tej....am going....see you soon," Jhanvi replied.

She disconnected the call.

She was placed on the bed and went to the maternity room.

She was alongside Jia,but she was refused to come with her .

Rickshaw.
"Ooh....heavens.... please let the jam end....in order I can be with my wife she needs me," Tej thought prayed.

It looks like his prayer was ended, traffic started moving, before he knew it,he arrived at City Hospital.

He paid the cab driver and left in a hurry.

He arrived at receptionist office and found Jia in waiting room.

He came to her.

"How's Jhanvi doing?" Tej asked.

"I don't know sir.....they didn't allow me to accompany her.....let's hope and pray all goes well for her and children," Jia replied.

Tej nodded in agreement.

He was tensed, because when visiting the gynaecologist,while checking her wife,she told them that,this was Jhanvi's last shot at being a mother,he was worried what if something bad happens,but he shunned these thoughts and started thinking happy thoughts instead .

Just then,the doctor came outside.

What could news be?
