Part 24

"Are you guys...just going to stare me the whole time....come on..let's eat...the food looks delicious," Shivaay said.

"Shivaay....are you okay?" Om asked.

"Am better....than okay....am perfectly fine," Shivaay replied.

"Brother... I don't think so?" Rudy asked.

"Why so ?" Shivaay asked.

"Usually... you're not a huge fan of suits...but today...here you are wearing it.... something seems off...or perhaps did you wake up at the wrong side of bed?" Rudy replied.

"Yes.... Shivaay....is everything fine," Shakti added.

"Everything is perfectly fine...father....as I have just mentioned....and as the saying goes.... everyone needs change once a while....so do I," Shivaay responded.

"Are you sure my son...well...with whatever happened yesterday.....," Pinky said interrupted by Shivaay.

"Mom.... yesterday can't be brought back....but we can change our present to determine our future.... whatever happened yesterday....is the past...so let's leave all behind us... alright," Shivaay replied.

They continued eating still confused by his strange behavior.

Because the Shivaay they knew wasn't a strict but fun loving person....while this Shivaay is completely different.

Flashback shows.
"Shivaay....forget about Bani...she didn't deserve you...from here now...you'll be a complete different Shivaay...whom nobody will ever take advantage of your kind heart," Shivaay said to himself.

He then wore his suit and went downstairs.

"Anyways...I have to go... excuse me," Shivaay said.

"Shivaay...you haven't finished your plate...eat up then you may go...after all it's your favorite dish....I made it myself," Pinky replied.

"Am sorry...mom...but duty calls...anyways...if you want me to eat that much....order to go...I'll eat in the office," Shivaay replied walking out.

"But.... Shivaay....," Pinky replied.

"Too late...Pinky...let him be," Shakti said.

Shivaay left already.

"Om...did he tell you anything... perhaps...that we are unaware of?"Rudy asked.

"Am just as confused....as the way you're....I don't know what's running in his mind," Om replied.

"Mom and dad... excuse us....we also have to go," Om requested.

"But why...it's too early," Pinky replied.

"Mom... since... brother is eldest...we have to follow his foot steps... anyways...the early bird catches the worm," Rudy replied.

They kissed Pinky on the cheeks,she tried stopping them but they left.

"At least...you're with me...my darling," Pinky said.

"I just remembered...I have to secure a deal with the Khurana's....bye...sweetie...I promise I'll be back early," Shakti replied kissing her forehead.

He left.

"Great....I prepare breakfast for them all...and they don't appreciate and just leave," Pinky replied.

Oberoi Hospital.
Break time.
Aside from the family members noticing Shivaay's weird behavior it's evident with the employees... because... Shivaay often greeted his employees with a warm smile and friendly flirted with them...but today he didn't.

"Ishani...do you know...why Mr Shivaay is acting like this today?"employee asked.

"I think...he just woke up on the wrong side of the bed...after all....everyone has their own bad days....I think....it's his today," Ishani defended.

"Yeah... you're right....I hope and wish...things turn around...and he can be back in his usual self again...the one...we usually love," employee replied.

"Yeah... excuse me," Ishani requested.

"Sure," employee replied.

She picked up the file and off she went to Shivaay's office.

She reached his office and she was trembling with fear since the whole ruckus and fiasco of last night.

She finally gathered the courage to knock.

"Come in," Shivaay replied.

She opened the door and she went in.

"Hello Shivaay," Ishani replied.

"Hi... Ishani...what do I owe this visit today?" Shivaay asked.

"Actually...here," Ishani replied handing over the file.

He took a look at the file.

"Resignation letter!" Shivaay said.

"Yes...I think...with whatever happened yesterday...it will be better....I resign...to make things no longer difficult," Ishani replied.

"No...no... Ishani....you really don't have to do this....," Shivaay replied interrupted by her.

"I have to do..it's for the sake of humanity,"Ishani replied.

"Ishani...it's not needed.... whatever happened with me and your sister.....it's between us...you're just a victim.... anyways...you and I have been friends for quite a well...let's not jeopardize our friendship like this...apart from our friendship....you're one of the best doctors we have....if you go...I don't know what will do...say what do you say?" Shivaay asked.

"Okay...if it's fine with you....I'll stay...I'll go back to work...then," Ishani replied.

"Okay," Shivaay replied.

She closed the door behind her.
