Part 117.

The truth I must say always hurts....the door bell is rang..... Rivya wonder who must be here...this time... unannounced....and late...nearly bed time.....let's rewind...and retrace our footsteps.....a little while ago..............

Still Pune.
New Beginnings Hotel.
Anika saw that Rivya were acting rather strange...after receiving the text....she wonders what could be making uneasy.....let's find out...............

"Guys....why are acting strange after receiving the text...huh...is everything alright?" Anika asked confused.
"No....relax...no need to worry... everything is yay okay," Gauri replied.
"Yes...Annie....your just jumping into conclusions," Bhavya added.
"Then...you won't mind me checking your phones right," Anika replied.
"Alright...stop...the truth is Omru invited the both of us....for a double date....we don't want to go... leaving you behind," Gauri replied.
"Way to go... mama," Bhavya whispered.
Anika was unresponsive.....then Gauri broke the ice...."Annie....no need to worry...will stay here with you...after all...friends before boyfriends," Gauri replied.
"Yeah...Annie...I agree with her," Bhavya added.
"No...that won't be fair with the both of you....just go...have fun with your fiances," Anika replied.
"You sure about it...I mean we...can postpone," Gauri replied.
"That won't be fair at my part....you guys just go....knowing how Omru made a lot of efforts in this....I don't want to be the party popper," Anika explained.
"But Annie... what about you....and Shivaay?" Gauri asked concerned.
"No need to worry...am sure he has a plan on his sleeves...after all...his Shivaay...full of surprises....you guys should hurry... before it's too late," Anika explained.
They went as per her wishes.... although not voluntarily.
They left.

Moving on.... Shivaay was driving in circles...left, right and center....still perplexed by the turn out of the DNA samples....he wishes...that if only it could be a dream...but alas...it's the bitter truth...called life...just when things are fine with him and Anika....and to add salt to the injury....it was the last day  here in Pune...from henceforth he won't be seeing her.....and what if....she finds out the truth...about Shivaay's past....with....nobody else...but her sister....her flesh and blood...what to do.....then Shivaay....stops driving...he has a clear state of mind....he decides to tell her the truth...from him and nobody else....moreover...she deserves to know about her family... background and lineage...what ever that concerns her....but first....thing first he decides to pay her grandma a visit....let's see how that turns up............................

Storey flat building.
Apartment.
Shivaay parks his car....then goes out with the test results...he had conducted with Anika and Ishani....knocks the door.....as per Aruna she thinks....Anika has returned home early...but doesn't know the surprise installed for her.....let's see...what unfolds..........

"Dear you're here early.....( Sees Shivaay's face).....Ooh... Shivaay it's you.....to what...do I owe this visit....where are my manners...come in....make yourself comfortable," Aruna replied... cueing him...to have a seat.

He took a seat.

"Should I bring you anything...we have juice...coffee...tea...you name it," Aruna replied.
"No...thanks am good....in fact... I wanted to have a word with you," Shivaay replied.
"It seems serious... judging from your face...and your expressions," Aruna replied.
"Okay...I'll go straight to the point...not wanting to take your precious time....here it goes...how long have you know Anika?" Shivaay asked confused.
( Mysterious...drama music plays)
"What kind of question is that...since she was born...even though am her grandmother," Aruna replied.
"Really...if that's so.... explain this....( Hands over the DNA samples results)," Shivaay replied.
She looks at them she's confused.......," Am sorry...but what am I looking at here?" Aruna asked confused.
"What you're looking at here...is Anika's identity...her REAL family," Shivaay explained.
"For all we know...this could be morphed....a conspiracy," Aruna replied.
"What more....I'll give you more...just a few hours... before coming here...I did...a through investigation on the Kapoor family...not me...but my friend did...guess what he found out...that 20 years ago....not known to the world...but only to them...one of the triplets....disappeared....and has been missing...the tried everything....just to relocate their missing kin...but unfortunately....they didn't find her......and might I say...what a coincidence...that your granddaughter's name is also Anika...what a small world we live in... indeed...so I have...put the pieces together....and found out...Anika is the long lost daughter and heiress of the Kapoor's...what do you have to say about that.. ma'am?" Shivaay explained.
Aruna started shedding a bit of tears....then wiped them...with the handkerchief she had with her....then responded to his allegations.....,"You're right... Shivaay... absolutely RIGHT....some time back....I had a dark cloud upon me...I lost my entire family on a train accident as they were coming back to Pune....it didn't spare anyone....not even my Pia( Real granddaughter)....I thought I lost everything...my sanity...then....as I was making rounds in the river.... because I had to move on....life has to go on...I met.... Anika....my Anika.... drowning in the shore....I evacuated her.....after that....she has been my world....my world revolves around her.....ever since then I have been happy," Aruna replied.
Shivaay felt pity  and sympathetic towards her....after all...she's been Anika's caretaker....the reason why Anika....is the great woman she is now..... he's left in a dilemma....what to do... should he tell Anika the truth...he deserves to know the truth of her being....or rather should he keep this secret in the grave....and let Anika continue with the life...she's known to have...then the door opens...it's Anika....what could she being doing here....at this particular time...let's see...what Shivaay has to say about this.

"Am I missing something?" Anika asked confused.... confused why the both of them were on edge today....is there something they were hiding from her.
"No...it's nothing serious senorita...we were planning...something to surprise you....but unfortunately you ruined it," Shivaay replied.
"My bad...but tell me...what was the surprise all about?" Anika asked innocently.
"Mmmh....," Shivaay replied...not knowing what lie to give her this time.
"Actually....dear...sit down...I and Shivaay....want to tell you something important...that we've been keeping from you," Aruna replied...cueing her to sit.
She sat...she was getting negative vibes....and a bad feeling about this.
"Shivaay go ahead..floor is all yours," Aruna replied.
"( Sighs).....the truth is well.... Senorita... you've been noticing I have been busy lately....( She agrees)....well... actually....I have been doing some investigation," Shivaay replied.
"What investigation Shivaay??" Anika asked confused.
"About you...your background....( Anika: I don't understand..what you're talking about Shivaay)," Shivaay replied interrupted by Aruna.
"The truth is dear....you aren't my granddaughter...rather you my foster granddaughter....( Starts explaining from the beginning to the end)," Aruna replied....and Shivaay finished the rest of the story.
Anika was now confused... perplexed...so...many emotions...with her.
She then left.... Shivaay asking her where she's going...but no response....she continues leaving... Shivaay tried to go after her....but Aruna convinced her not to...she needed time for her to be alone.....after sometime... Shivaay left to the hotel...feeling guilty...blameful...yet he wanted this day to be memorable....but as the saying goes man plans aren't God plans.

Semi permanent house.

The doorbell is heard ringing...with also a knock at the door......Rivya goes to check...who could it be...that too late at night...the open the door...it was none other than their bestie Anika.

"Sorry guys for disturbing you this late...but I needed someone to talk to....hope you don't mind?" Anika said.

"Of course not...you aren't a disturbance...rather our friend...come in," Gauri replied.

She cued Bhavya to go and make something for her...since she looked drenched...and distraught.....she made her to sit...then locked up.
