Confused Feelings

Chapter 4

Y/n POV

A week has gone by, me and Jake has become extremely close. We've been calling and texting a lot. But I feel like there is something missing.

Eunchae: sooo has he said the word???

Y/n: what word?

She moved in closer and whispers

Eunchae: to make it official??

Y/n: what!

I moved back

Eunchae: you guys are practically dating. Might as well make it official

Y/n: I'm not ready for a real relationship.

Eunchae: your not ready or do u still have feelings for Sunghoon?

Y/n: I-

I paused

Eunchae: ughh come on y/n!! Jake is the perfect guy for you. What do you see in Sunghoon? He's egotistical, rude, and a jerk!

Y/n: I know but-

Eunchae: you can't keep leading Jake on. This is wrong. You either talk to him or you either end ur feelings with Sunghoon. I'm telling you, Jake is a good guy. Don't ruin it for some childhood friend.

All day at school, I've been thinking about what Eunchae said. Maybe she's right. I just need to forget about Sunghoon. I was so stressed out.

Eunchae: have you made up your choice?

Y/n: how do I forget my feelings for him? I basically had feelings for him all my life.

Eunchae: I would say, you go be with Jake. He's perfect for you.

Y/n: yeah

Eunchae: you deserve to be happy too. Like I said before, he's already in a relationship.

Y/n: yeah..

When school ended I was waiting for Jake when Sunghoon comes.

Y/n: I haven't seen you much around this week? Are you avoiding me?

Sunghoon; I'm just simply busy these days.

Y/n: did I do something wrong?

Sunghoon: not at all. Like I said, I'm busy.

He's not making eye contact with me.

I grabbed his face and turn his face towards to me.

Y/n: what is wrong? I know something is wrong Sunghoon. It's me you're talking to....

He grabbed both of my hands and slightly pushed me away. I mis-stepped and I was going to fall when Sunghoon grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug. We just stood there.

???: um what's going on?

We both quickly pulled away and our eyes meet Wongyoung and Jake.

Sunghoon: it's not what it looks like! Y/n tripped and almost fell down and I caught her! I promise Wongyoung!

I nodded my head as I look at Jake. They both stared at us for a good couple seconds and then Wongyoung and Jake went to me.

Jake: are you okay?

Wongyoung: you didn't get hurt yeah?

Y/n: I-I'm fine!

Wongyoung: Sunghoon you should be more careful

Sunghoon: me?! She was the one- ugh never mind...

Jake: I hope you didn't get hurt?

Y/n: I'm fine, I promise

Sunghoon: I could've gotten hurt, she was heavy, I could've fell.

Wongyoung smack his head

Wongyoung: that's not nice Sunghoon. You should treat her with respect

Sunghoon: respect?! You should see how she treats me!

Jake giggle at their bickering. I look at them

" they do make a good couple"

I look at Jake

" yeah maybe he would be a better choice.. why should I wait for someone who already looks happy.. he already has such a wonderful girlfriend... why should I get in the way..."

My heart kinda broke but I knew what was the right choice for me.

Y/n: hey guys

Sunghoon and them look at me.

Y/n: why don't we go on a double date?

Wongyoung looks at me with excitement

Wongyoung: omg! Did you two make it official?

I look at Jake and he looks at me, waiting for an answer. I look at Wongyoung with a smile

Y/n: we are official!

I grabbed his hand.

Wongyoung: omg!! I'm so happy for you two! I'm so down for a double date. Right sunghoon

Sunghoon turned his head

Sunghoon: I guess it will be fun...

Y/n: what about you Jake?

Jake: I'm down.

After talking about our plans, we all walk home together. When they went home, it was just me and Sunghoon.

Sunghoon: so you and Jake?

Y/n: yeah

Sunghoon: why did you choose him?

Y/n: well he's kind, smart, and treats me well. Hes the only guy that showed interest in me.

We made it to our house

Sunghoon: well what if I showed interest in you? Would you change your mind?

I slowly turned my head at him. We started at each other for a couple of second.

Y/n: w-

He hits my head with his hand

Sunghoon; haha I'm just joking. Like I ever showed interest in you. We are practically brother and sister.

I laughed but I also felt a little bit hurt

Sunghoon: I'm happy for the both of you. Well good night.

He went into his house and I went into mines.
