She always loved looking at the night sky.
The Moon was shining brightly, alone in the night sky. Stars were twinkling and the Clouds were playing hide and seek with the Moon.
She was sitting beside the window and enjoying this beautiful scenery.
"Yeh kya baat hai aaj ki chandni mein"
She was humming closing her eyes.
She was so lost in the moment that she didn't notice Her mother-in-law entering the room.
Ashfa Begum smiled watching Yasmine Humming the tune.
She sighed watching her.
Destiny was weird. Being widow at this young age was not easy.
The loneliness, the void feeling in the heart.
She knew Her feeling.
"Yasmine?"
Yasmine stopped humming and looked over her.
"Ma?"
"You didn't sleep?"
Her mother-in-law sat beside her and caressed her head lovingly.
"No Baccha. Actually I forgot to tell you that tomorrow Best friend's son is coming from USA after many years. That's why she has kept a small party, She has invited us Baccha."
Yasmine didn't want to go anywhere. She didn't like going anywhere anymore.
"Ma, You should go then there. I will stay at home"
Ashfa Begum sighed deeply. She knew her answer. Yasmine was isolating herself from everyone. She doesn't go outside anymore.
The chirpy girl who used fly like a free bird has caged herself now.
"How long you are going to Keep yourself alone Baccha? You need to go outside and meet people. I know it's tough for you but you have at least try Daughter. Live your life Yasmine.
The life you are leading is not healthy anymore.
You forgot how to smile daughter. I am not telling you to do anything but just come with me once. Trust me you will feel good!"
All the words were like a hammer to Yasmine's brain.
She knew all the things Ashfa Begum said was true but ,
Her heart didn't want meet anybody.
It was closed and void.
She has made a wall between her and the world.
It was like she can't relate with this world anymore. While everything was so colourful and full of life she felt colourless. She felt like a stranger between everybody. The smiles and the laughs everything is unknown to her.
She looked at her mother's face. It was tired and pale. Losing Her son was very hard for her. He was the only family she had in this world.
Day by day she is becoming weak taking care of her. Yasmine didn't want to trouble her anymore.
She didn't want her mother to suffer more because of her.
She sighed softly and held her hands
"Ma, don't worry I will come with you"
A sweet smile was formed in her mother's face listening to her.
May be it will take some time to heal but time will fix everything.
