Perfect timing—the jet landed at the school. Annie peeked out the window casually, as if nothing had happened, while Cleo, Rose, and the other students still looked stunned. The school was a grand manor surrounded by mountains of beautiful, expensive flower beds.
There were even a few fruit trees. But what caught Annie's eye the most was the enormous statue of a lady holding a magic wand, with conspicuously large "melons."
Some students outside noticed Annie's aura and came over to see who it was. Overwhelmed by the sudden attention, Annie ran, pushing through the crowd. In her haste, she accidentally shoved a blonde boy too hard, causing him and his book to fall. Annie, not one to leave someone in trouble, turned back and helped the boy up, handing him his book.
The blonde boy pushed Annie away and snatched his book. "Watch it," he said with a hint of rudeness and annoyance, rolling his eyes at her. Annie was about to retort but decided to stay silent
Bell, meanwhile, was hiding her visible form behind a nearby apple tree, looking like a very confused ghost who'd taken a wrong turn.
Bell: Bring me back! I don't like this anymore!
Bell pleaded, sounding like a drama queen desperate to escape a bad movie.
Annie: I don't know how! I guess you have to follow me while hiding...
Annie said with a shrug, strolling through the front door of the school as if she had no spectral sidekick. Bell floated after her, reluctantly tagging along like a sulking child.
Rose, meanwhile, was chasing after them, trying to catch up. The whole scene looked like a bizarre game of tag with an exasperated ghost, a nonchalant girl, and a determined classmate.
